THE CONTEMPORARY APPROACH OF TAXATION, FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF ITS HISTORICAL EVOLUTION. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

2020

The topic of this research focuses on the study of the taxation process, which is one of the oldest activities in human history and has played a key role in civilized societies for thousands of years, developing its roots with the emergence of the state and trade relations between people. The research methodology is mainly based on the method of theoretical research and the method of reading the literature, being mainly a qualitative research, designed to provide a generous substrate in addressing the process of taxation in economic life. Thus, this theoretical research aims to briefly cover the most important historical stages of taxation in order to provide a comprehensive definition of t…

The universal ancestor : an unfinished reconstruction

2015

Preceding Host History of Conjugative Resistance Plasmids Affects Intra- and Interspecific Transfer Potential from Biofilm

2023

Conjugative plasmids can confer antimicrobial resistance (AMR) to their host bacterium. The plasmids disperse even between distantly related host species, rescuing the host from otherwise detrimental effects of antibiotics. Little is known about the role of these plasmids in the spread of AMR during antibiotic treatment. One unstudied question is whether the past evolutionary history of a plasmid in a particular species creates host specificity in its rescue potential or if interspecific coevolution can improve interspecific rescues. To study this, we coevolved the plasmid RP4 under three different host settings; solely Escherichia coli or Klebsiella pneumoniae, or alternating between both …

WILLIAMS-BEUREN MAPPING IN CALLITHRIX ARGENTATA, CALLICEBUS CUPREUS AND ALOUATTA CARAYA INDICATES DIFFERENT PATTERNS OF CHROMOSOMAL REARRANGEMENTS IN…

2007

Human chromosome 7 has a complex syntenic origin. It was divided into two segments in both the ancestral primate karyotype and in Platyrrhini. Apparently, a small segment in the ancestral platyrrhine karyotype was associated with HSA5 and the remainder formed a middle-sized submetacentric. We tested the dynamics of platyrrhine chromosomes by hybridizing the locus specific Willams-Beuren probe (7q 11.23, 450 kb) to chromosomes of representative species from the three families of the New World monkeys recently proposed by molecular genomics: Cebidae, Callithrix argentata (bare ear marmoset or silvery marmoset, 2n = 44); Pitheciidae, Callicebus cupreus [red titi monkey, or coppery monkey, 2n =…

European Career Development – A Challenge for European Human Resource Management

2013

Abstract European career development should be a challenge for each of us. Current situations, the European economic context, technological evolution, the opening of European labor market are allowing people to a higher mobility concerning personal career. Thus, the development of a European career can be a challenge for each of us, depending on personal choices and on the context and development of each person's life. Is European career a better solution for individual development? Is that professional perfection for each person? These are questions that I will try to answer in this study.

Hybridization, developmental stability, and functionality of morphological traits in the ground beetle Carabus solieri (Coleoptera, Carabidae).

2006

Correspondance.: stephane.garnier@u-bourgogne.fr; International audience; The assessment of developmental stability in hybrids can provide valuable information in the study of species formation because it allows an evaluation of the degree of incompatibility of genetic systems that control developmental processes. The present study assessed the impact of two hybridization events, assumed to have occurred at different times, on developmental instability in the ground beetle Carabus solieri . Developmental instability was estimated in 678 individuals from 27 populations from the fluctuating asymmetry (FA) levels of four morphological traits: the tibia length of middle and hind legs, which are…

Highly Active and Stable NiCuMo Electrocatalyst Supported on 304 Stainless Steel Porous Transport Layer for Hydrogen Evolution in Alkaline Water Elec…

2023

Several functionalized porous transport layers with Pt-free electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline conditions, based on Ni, Cu, and Mo, are prepared through electrodeposition onto a 304 stainless steel mesh. Morphological characterization confirms the fabrication of electrodes with high electrochemical surface active area due to the formation of hierarchical nanostructures. Mo presence into the electrocatalysts increases the activity toward the hydrogen evolution reaction. The optimization of electrodeposition process leads to the preparation of highly active NiCuMo electrocatalyst that exhibits near zero onset overpotential and overpotentials of 15 and 113 mV at 10 an…

Algorithmic issues in computational intelligence optimization: from design to implementation, from implementation to design

2016

The vertiginous technological growth of the last decades has generated a variety of powerful and complex systems. By embedding within modern hardware devices sophisticated software, they allow the solution of complicated tasks. As side effect, the availability of these heterogeneous technologies results into new difficult optimization problems to be faced by researchers in the field. In order to overcome the most common algorithmic issues, occurring in such a variety of possible scenarios, this research has gone through cherry-picked case-studies. A first research study moved from implementation to design considerations. Implementation limitations, such as memory constraints and real-time r…
