Dynamics of the Selkov oscillator.

A classical example of a mathematical model for oscillations in a biological system is the Selkov oscillator, which is a simple description of glycolysis. It is a system of two ordinary differential equations which, when expressed in dimensionless variables, depends on two parameters. Surprisingly it appears that no complete rigorous analysis of the dynamics of this model has ever been given. In this paper several properties of the dynamics of solutions of the model are established. A series of neutral, anionic and cationic arene ruthenium complexes containing the trichlorostannyl ligand have been synthesised from SnCl2 and the corresponding arene ruthenium dichloride dimers [(η6-arene)Ru(μ2-Cl)Cl]2 (arene = C6H6, PriC6H4Me). While the reaction with triphenylphosphine and stannous chloride only gives the neutral mono(trichlorostannyl) complexes [(η6-C6H6)Ru(PPh3)(SnCl3)Cl] (1) and [(η6-PriC6H4Me)Ru(PPh3)(SnCl3)Cl] (2), the neutral di(trichlorostannyl) complex [(η6-PriC6H4Me)Ru(NCPh)(SnCl3)2] (3) could be obtained for the para-cymene derivative with benzonitrile as additional ligand. Stochastic differential equations describe the time evolution of certain continuous n-dimensional Markov processes. In contrast with classical differential equations, in addition to the derivative of the function, there is a term that describes the random fluctuations that are coded as an Ito integral with respect to a Brownian motion. To evaluate the diagnostic performance of strain elastography (SE) and 2 D shear wave elastography (SWE) and SE/SWE combination in comparison with conventional multiparametric ultrasound (US) with respect to improving BI-RADS classification results and differentiating benign and malignant breast lesions using a qualitative and quantitative assessment. Frankfurtian Reflections: A Critical Discussion of Robert Lockie’s “Three Recent Frankfurt Cases”

In a recent article, Robert Lockie brings about a critical examination of three Frankfurtstyle cases designed by David Widerker and Derk Pereboom. His conclusion is that these cases do not refute either the Principle of Alternative Possibilities (PAP) or some cognate leeway principle for moral responsibility. Though I take the conclusion to be true, I contend that Lockie's arguments do not succeed in showing it. I concentrate on Pereboom's Tax Evasion 2 . After presenting Pereboom's example and analyzing its structure, I distinguish two strategies of Lockie's to defend PAP against it, which I call 'No True Alternative Decision' (NTAD) and 'No Responsibility' (NR), respectively. The three study groups used the same CT systems during the investigation period : the EMI Mark I head scanner from 1975 until June 1977 and the EMI CT 1010 head scanner from the middle of 1977, with the Diagnostic Enhancement Package since March 1980. A new tool to create on-line examinations. Integration into Aula Virtual.

Actualmente, la Universitat de València utiliza un Sistema de Gestión del Aprendizaje (en ingles Learning Management System LMS), como apoyo al proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Este LMS incluye una herramienta que permite a los profesores crear exámenes online. Sin embargo, la interfaz de usuario que provee la plataforma no presenta un entorno amigable. Para mejorar la usabilidad del modulo, hemos desarrollado un programa informático que simplifica el proceso. Partiendo de un programa open source denominado QAED, desarrollado en la Universitat Pompeu Fabra, lo hemos extendido para permitir a los profesores crear exámenes offline. Después, pueden importarse fácilmente al Aula Virtual.
