International audience; Across Europe, national professional football leagues have seen increasing numbers of players from other EU states, while the Champions League and the Europa League have become a focal point for many teams. This article seeks to investigate how far this Europeanisation on the organisational level of football is reflected in identities and discourses of fans. We develop a framework to analyse Europeanisation of identities among football fans. Fanu veidotie subtitri Latvijā un to salīdzinājums ar tulkošanas aģentūras veidotajiem audiovizuālajiem tulkojumiem

Šī pētījuma mērķis ir salīdzināt profesionālo subtitrēsanu ar fansubēšanu. Tiek salīdzinātas arī pašu profesionālo subtitrētāju un fansubētāju attieksmes. Fansubēšanas iesākums meklējams japāņu animācijas filmu tulkojumā, bet mūsdienās tas pārgājis uz citām jomām. Savukārt profesionālā subtitrēšana attīstījusies reizē ar filmu mediju. Pati fansubēšana ir cieši saistīta ar pirātismu un pārkāpj autortiesības. Pētījuma teorētiskajā daļā analizēti teorētiskie materiāli, kas ļāva atšķirt katra subtitrēšanas veida galvenās pazīmes. This article asks about the expansion of psychological, therapeutic and self-enhancement ethos through the networks and devices that configures middle and upper-middle classes, and about the ways in which this process is singled out starting from the encounter between coaching and psychology paradigms with golf fans, in contemporary Argentina. The empirical materials that support the analysis have been ethnographically produced from the interaction with golf players and coaches.

Basking in Reflected Glory and Blasting : Differences in identity management strategies between two groups of highly identified soccer fans

This study examines in soccer fanzine two identity management strategies - BIRGing and blasting -- of two groups of highly identified soccer fans with allegiance to the same team. Results showed strong support for the BIRG phenomenon among both ultra fans groups but little evidence of the blasting phenomenon among either group. The implications of these findings are discussed in regards to social identity management among sport fans.

Increasing numbers of studies seek to characterize the different cellular sub-populations present in mammalian tissues. The techniques “Isolation of Nuclei Tagged in Specific Cell Types” (INTACT) or “Fluorescence-Activated Nuclei Sorting” (FANS) are frequently used for isolating nuclei of specific cellular subtypes.
