In this study, a novel two-step methodology is applied in designing static output-feedback controllers for a class of vehicle suspension systems. A theoretical background on recent advances in output-feedback control is first provided, which makes possible an effective synthesis of static output-feedback controllers by solving a single linear matrix inequality optimization problem. The impulse-based discrete feedback control has been proposed in previous work for the second-order motion systems with damping uncertainties. The sate-dependent discrete impulse action takes place at zero crossing of one of both states, either relative position or velocity. A newly developed system of \(P{a_{{O_2}}}\)-controlled automatic ventilation is reported on. \({P_{{O_2}}}\) microelectrodes (Beckman, IBC) are used to measure arterial \({P_{{O_2}}}\) continuously. In a feedback control system the inspiratory O2 concentration of a respirator is adjusted as long as the set point and actual value of the arterial \({P_{{O_2}}}\) correspond. The functional behavior of the feedback control system is described.
Steady-state generation of negative-Wigner-function light using feedback

We propose a method of producing steady-state coherent light with negative Wigner functions in nonlinear media combined with feedback control. While the nonlinearities are essential to produce the Wigner negativities, this alone is insufficient to stabilize steady-state light with negativities. Using feedback control to control the phase in the cavity, we find that this produces significant total negativities for reasonable experimental parameters. The negative Wigner function is produced continuously and does not appear to be restricted to low-amplitude light. The technique is applicable to systems such as exciton-polaritons, where strong natural nonlinearities are present.

The mutual influence of p53 and its antagonist, the Mdm2 oncogene, is closed in feedback.
