International audience; Bubble detection in liquid metal is an important issue for various technological applications. For instance, in the framework of Sodium Fast Reactors design, the presence of gas in the sodium flow of the primary and secondary loops is an issue of crucial importance for safety and reliability. Here, the two main gas measurement methods in sodium are ultrasonic testing and eddy-current testing; we investigate the second method in our study. Fractional-order nonlinear hereditariness of tendons and ligaments of the human knee

In this paper the authors introduce a nonlinear model of fractional-order hereditariness used to capture experimental data obtained on human tendons of the knee. Creep and relaxation data on fibrous tissues have been obtained and fitted with logarithmic relations that correspond to power-laws with nonlinear dependence of the coefficients. The use of a proper nonlinear transform allows one to use Boltzmann superposition in the transformed variables yielding a fractional-order model for the nonlinear material hereditariness. The biodegradable metals, including magnesium (Mg), are a convenient alternative to permanent metals but fast uncontrolled corrosion limited wide clinical application. Formation of a barrier coating on Mg alloys could be a successful strategy for the production of a stable external layer that prevents fast corrosion. The Lyapunov dimension formula for the global attractor of the Lorenz system

The exact Lyapunov dimension formula for the Lorenz system has been analytically obtained first due to G.A.Leonov in 2002 under certain restrictions on parameters, permitting classical values. He used the construction technique of special Lyapunov-type functions developed by him in 1991 year. Later it was shown that the consideration of larger class of Lyapunov-type functions permits proving the validity of this formula for all parameters of the system such that all the equilibria of the system are hyperbolically unstable. Finite-time Lyapunov dimension and hidden attractor of the Rabinovich system

The Rabinovich system, describing the process of interaction between waves in plasma, is considered. It is shown that the Rabinovich system can exhibit a {hidden attractor} in the case of multistability as well as a classical {self-excited attractor}. The hidden attractor in this system can be localized by analytical-numerical methods based on the {continuation} and {perpetual points}. For numerical study of the attractors' dimension the concept of {finite-time Lyapunov dimension} is developed. The chaotic Dadras–Momeni system: control and hyperchaotification

In this paper a novel three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system, the so called Dadras-Momeni system, is considered and two different control techniques are employed to realize chaos control and chaos synchronization.
