Peri-Implant Behavior of Tissue Level Dental Implants with a Convergent Neck
2021
Introduction: The aim of this retrospective study was to analyze the radiographic peri-implant bone loss of bone level implants and tissue level implants with a convergent neck in screw-retained single crowns and in screw-retained fixed partial prostheses, after two years of functional loading. Materials and methods: The sample was divided into two groups according to their type: Group I: supracrestal implants with convergent transmucosal neck

Tutkimuksen painopiste on oppilaiden yksilöllisessä kokemuksellisuudessa…
"Na dnie duszy polskiej leży zawsze folga" : o pewnym Sienkiewiczowskim toposie
2016
Sienkiewicz’s readers certainly known the writer’s favourite, archaically styled terms folga (“relief”, “respite”, “indulgence”) and folgować (“to follow”, “to allow”, “indulge someone/something”), etymologically derived from the German Folge (“consequence”, “result”, “aftermath”) and folgen (“to follow”, “to obey”, “to submit to”). They are found in Sienkiewicz’s texts more than seventy times, and not only in historical novels, where their use is motivated by the chronotope of the past. The theme of folga grows in his work to the status of a kind of a leitmotif. Observing the chronology of the occurrence of the term, we can see a clear evolution: from a neutral term, to some kind of an ide…
A NOVEL APPROACH TO FULLY CHARACTERIZE FIBER NETWORK MORPHOLOGY OF PLANAR FIBROUS TISSUES AND SCAFFOLDS
2011
2020
Współczesne media cyfrowe wyzwalają aktywność użytkowników Internetu współtworzących dyskurs Online sprzyjający konstruowaniu wspólnotowej tożsamości. Szczególnie wyraźnie obserwujemy to w funkcjonowaniu w przestrzeni wirtualnej współczesnych diaspor narodowych i etnicznych, którym nowe media stworzyły warunki do dyskusji i dialogu, wspomagające ponowną integrację i samoidentyfikację.

Shell morphology of the unionid mussels (Anodonta anatina, Unio pictorum and U. tumidus) in relation to gender and trematode parasitism
2015
Freshwater mussels (Unionoida) show great variability in shell morphology which can be associated with differences in habitat, sex and/or parasite infection. Three unionid mussel species, (Anodonta anatina, Unio pictorum and Unio tumidus) were collected from two sites Lake Saravesi, (Laukaa) and Lake Kuivasjarvi, (Oulu), between May - October 2012. Intraspecific trends that were associated with the mussels’ sex and/or parasites infection were studied and observations were made on how sex and parasite infection could have a role in shells morphological characters/patterns. The study revealed a range of morphometric differences among and across populations, as well as, within and between spec…

2017
This dissertation focuses on Finnish language learning opportunities in cleaning work, which is the most common job for immigrants in Finland. The study investigates what opportunities and constraints there are for Finnish language learning in cleaning work, how a work community supports language learning, and what factors facilitate or constrain investment in language learning at work. Language learning opportunities are explored from an ecological approach as affordances – the reciprocal relations between an individual and his/her social and physical environment. The study also explores the scaffolding provided by the work community and investment in second language learning. Nexus analys…
