2q13 microdeletion syndrome: Report on a newborn with additional features expanding the phenotype

In this paper we describe an additional newborn patient with craniofacial dysmorphisms, congenital heart disease, hypotonia and a 2q13 deletion of 1.7 Mb, whose clinical and genomic findings are consistent with the diagnosis of 2q13 microdeletion syndrome.
Nurse-led counseling for coronary artery disease patients : A 1-year follow-up study

Nurse‐led counseling and systematic follow‐up has been shown to reduce cardiovascular risk factor levels. The study aim was to investigate if cardiovascular risk factor levels could be reduced in patients with coronary artery disease with a nurse‐led intervention and to report patients’ evaluations of nurse‐led counseling. The study design was a real‐life longitudinal follow‐up counseling intervention. Data were collected from November 2017 to May 2020. The nurse‐led intervention and patients’ follow‐up time was one year. Of the 78 patients recruited, 74 completed the study. Low education and unemployment are common adult‐age outcomes associated with childhood RD (c‐RD). However, adult‐age cognitive and non‐cognitive factors associated with different outcomes remain unknown. We studied whether these outcomes are equally common among individuals with c‐RD and controls and whether these outcomes are related to adult‐age literacy skills or cognitive and non‐cognitive factors or their interaction with c‐RD. Aim The aim of this study was to explore family members' satisfaction with care and decision-making during the intensive care units stay and their follow-up needs after the patient's discharge or death. Design A cross-sectional survey study was conducted. Methods Family members of patients recently treated in an ICU were participating.
