Magnetic Field and Short-Circuit Reactance Calculation of the 3-Phase Transformer with Symmetrical Amorphous Core

Magnetically symmetric, 3- phase transformer has been analysed. For the two variants of the windings, the calculation results have been compared with the measured ones. Magnetic flux density components were calculated in and out of the core. The flux distribution and short-circuit reactance have been verified experimentally and a good agreement has been obtained.

Marine bioconstructions are biodiversity-rich, three-dimensional biogenic structures, regulating key ecological functions of benthic ecosystems worldwide. Tropical coral reefs are outstanding for their beauty, diversity and complexity, but analogous types of bioconstructions are also present in temperate seas. The main bioconstructions in the Mediterranean Sea are represented by coralligenous formations, vermetid reefs, deep-sea cold-water corals, Lithophyllum byssoides trottoirs, coral banks formed by the shallow-water corals Cladocora caespitosa or Astroides calycularis, and sabellariid or serpulid worm reefs. This paper reports on research conducted to elucidate the risk posed to the Sicilian population of the endangered lanner falcon Falco biarmicus feldeggii Schlegel by organochlorine (OC) pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), as part of a wider study on contaminant risk to the lanner. Seventeen lanner nest sites were studied in northern and central Sicily. Falco biarmicus feldeggii is one of the most threatened taxa in Europe. Its global population is estimated at a few hundred pairs unequally scattered in a vast and fragmented area stretching from Sicily to the Caspian Sea. Most recent counts showed that Italy hosts a large part (>25%) of the whole population. Consequently, Italian authorities promoted a national action plan. In this framework, we carried out the first national survey for the Lanner Falcon in Italy (2003-2004). This manuscript presents various studies falling under the set of themes of coherent control. We establish, as well theoretically as in experiments, the possibility of finely handling the rotational dynamics of linear molecules. In order to operate this handling, the ultra-short pulses are shaped by a pulse shaper. Its principle and its installation are described in a detailed way. The rotational dynamics of the linear nitrogen molecule (N2) is handled while exploiting the relative excitation between the even and odd rotational components of the wavepacket in weak mode of field.
