Simulation of forces and 3-D field arising during power autotransformer fault due to electric arc in HV winding
2002
Forces and three-dimensional magnetic fields in high-voltage winding due to an internal short circuit in a power autotransformer are calculated with the computer package OPERA 3D. The considered damage was caused by an electric arc. The materialized deformation of the winding part confirms the simulation results.
Multipole modes in deformed nuclei within the finite amplitude method
2015
Background: To access selected excited states of nuclei, within the framework of nuclear density functional theory, the quasiparticle random phase approximation (QRPA) is commonly used. Purpose: We present a computationally efficient, fully self-consistent framework to compute the QRPA transition strength function of an arbitrary multipole operator in axially-deformed superfluid nuclei. Methods: The method is based on the finite amplitude method (FAM) QRPA, allowing fast iterative solution of QRPA equations. A numerical implementation of the FAM-QRPA solver module has been carried out for deformed nuclei. Results: The practical feasibility of the deformed FAM module has been demonstrated. I…
Entanglement transfer in a noisy cavity network with parity-deformed fields
2019
We investigate the effects of parity-deformed fields on the dynamics of entanglement transfer to distant noninteracting atomic qubits. These qubits are embedded in two distant lossy cavities connected by a leaky short-length fiber (or additional cavity). The process is studied within a single-excitation subspace, the parity-deformed cavity photons allowing the introduction of static local classical fields, which function as a control. The mechanism of state transfer is analyzed in comparison to the uncontrolled case. We find that the transfer evolution exhibits an asymmetry with respect to atom-field detuning, being sensitive to the sign of the detuning. Under a linear interaction controlle…
Real-time optical spectrum analyzers operating with spectrally incoherent broadband continuous-wave light source
2007
On the framework of coherence theory we discuss the averaged temporal intensity output provided by real-time optical Fourier transformers when the spectral line shape of the stationary source is considered. Some numerical examples are given and the deviations from perfectly monochromatic sources are pointed out.
F-type lectin from serum of the Antarctic teleost fish Trematomus bernacchii (Boulenger, 1902): Purification, structural characterization, and bacter…
2021
Abstract The increasing availability of sequenced genomes has enabled a deeper understanding of the complexity of fish lectin repertoires involved in early development and immune recognition. The teleost fucose-type lectin (FTL) family includes proteins that preferentially bind fucose and display tandemly arrayed carbohydrate-recognition domains (CRDs) or are found in mosaic combinations with other domains. They function as opsonins, promoting phagocytosis and the clearance of microbial pathogens. The Antarctic fish Trematomus bernacchii is a Perciforme living at extremely low temperatures (−1.68 °C) which is considered a model for studying adaptability to the variability of environmental w…
The design and implementation of Neuma, a collaborative Digital Scores Library - Requirements, architecture, and models
2012
This paper presents the design and implementation of the Neuma platform, a digital library devoted to the preservation and dissemination of symbolic music content (scores). Neuma is open to musicologists, musicians, and music publishers. It consists of a repository dedicated to the storage of large collections of digital scores, where users/applications can upload their documents. It also proposes services to publish, annotate, query, transform, and analyze scores. The long-term goal of the project is to enable an open and collaborative space where musician communities will be able to share music in symbolic notation. The project is organized around the French IRPMF institute (BnF–CNRS) whi…

Thinking collaborative empowerment as a communication dispositive : the case of collaborative consumption’s online community services in a sustainabl…
2020
This thesis propounds an info-communicational approach of empowerment phenomenon in a market oriented context. In order to do so, we focus on discourses and communicational processes that refer to this very concept in “collaborative consumption” platforms’ framework. Massification of this type of services is accompanied by discourses emphasizing a socioecological “power” they would be carrying for consumers (as a more social and sustainable economy). We underline the gap between this utopia and the organizational reality of empowerment. First part of this thesis proposes to highlight this polysemic concept. The point is to problematize empowerment in tension between political communication …
Diritti di partecipazione politica e piattaforme digitali, alcune riflessioni
2022
