Existence of two solutions for singular Φ-Laplacian problems

AbstractExistence of two solutions to a parametric singular quasi-linear elliptic problem is proved. The equation is driven by theΦ\Phi-Laplacian operator, and the reaction term can be nonmonotone. The main tools employed are the local minimum theorem and the Mountain pass theorem, together with the truncation technique. GlobalC1,τ{C}^{1,\tau }regularity of solutions is also investigated, chiefly viaa prioriestimates and perturbation techniques.

The state of preservation of the bug Sehirus carpathiensis J.A. Lis, Vršanský & Schlögl, sp. n. (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae) from the Lakšárska Nová Ves Formation at Cerová (Slovakia) supports extremely rapid sinking and burial in upper bathyal Early Miocene sediments. The specimen originated from land at most a few kilometers away, but transport via a river can be excluded as the head and wings are still attached. Its most likely source based on fossil flora and the habitat of several living representatives of the genus is a riparian habitat in an adjacent area of land. One-loop corrections to light cone wave functions: the dipole picture DIS cross section

We develop methods needed to perform loop calculations in light cone perturbation theory using a helicity basis, refining the method introduced in our earlier work. In particular this includes implementing a consistent way to contract the four-dimensional tensor structures from the helicity vectors with d-dimensional tensors arising from loop integrals, in a way that can be fully automatized. We demonstrate this explicitly by calculating the one-loop correction to the virtual photon to quark-antiquark dipole light cone wave function. This allows us to calculate the deep inelastic scattering cross section in the dipole formalism to next-to-leading order accuracy. Our results, obtained using …

Installée sur le flanc sud-ouest du plateau de Lacau, cette occupation de bas de pente se caractérise par quelques aménagements fossoyés associés à des structures de combustion. In the one-dimensional case, the amplitude of a pulse that propagates in a homogeneous material whose properties are instantaneously changed in time will undergo an exponential increase due to the interference between the reflected and transmitted pulses generated at each sudden switch. Here, we resolve the issue by designing suitable reciprocal PT-symmetric space-time microstructures so that the interference between the scattered waves is such that the overall amplitude of the wave will be constant in time in each constituent material.
