Si existe un gesto que el ser humano ha repetido a lo largo de la historia ese ha sido el de conservar a sus muertos, generando prácticas que han atravesado lo artístico. Recordar a los antepasados y rendirles culto es lo que motivó (y motiva) esta práctica de carácter ancestral que apenas ha variado en sus funciones y formas a lo largo del tiempo. Este texto es una recopilación de las tres conferencias que se pronunciaron en junio de 2009 con motivo de la exposición comisionada por Rafael Rodríguez Tranche en la Casa de Velázquez de Madrid sobre las fotografías de Kati Horna durante la guerra civil española (1937-1938). El objetivo es destacar, en tres momentos, la especificidad de la mirada fotográfica de la entonces joven artista: primero de manera general, en segundo lugar, con un enfoque restringido a una temática, la del motivo de las ruinas, y por fin, a partir de la lectura de una selección de imágenes representativas.

In recent years, LIDAR (light detection and ranging) sensors have been widely used to measure environmental parameters such as the structural characteristics of trees, crops and forests. Knowledge of the structural characteristics of plants has a high scientific value due to their influence in many biophysical processes including, photosynthesis, growth, CO2-sequestration and evapotranspiration, playing a key role in the exchange of matter and energy between plants and the atmosphere, and affecting terrestrial, above-ground, carbon storage. The aim of the paper is to analyze the narrative and photographic thresholds of Leggenda privata by Michele Mari (2017). The first case is a rhetorical artifice, a horror-gothic-fantastic narrative threshold, that Mari creates to distinguish the present of writing from the past of memories, intended, as I will try to demonstrate, to problematize the crucial questions of autobiography: incipit and explicit of the narration, literature and bios, fiction and non-fiction. The paper reports an overview of some experiences carried out by some Italian research groups (Politecnico di Milano, University of Palermo, Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento) aimed to assess the conservation‟s state of some analysed paintings and provide useful information for further diagnostic applications. The activities were accomplished in interdisciplinary teams composed of photogrammetrists, surveyors, restorers and experts of non-destructive diagnostic techniques for Cultural Heritage.
