MAC–Engine: a new architecture for executing MAC algorithms on commodity WiFi hardware

In this demo, we prove that the flexibility supported by off–the–shelf IEEE 802.11 hardware can be significantly ex- tended if we move the control of the MAC programming interface from the driver to the firmware, i.e. from the host CPU to the card CPU. To this purpose, we introduce the concept of MAC–Engine, that is an executor of Pro- grammable Finite State Machines (PFSM) implemented at the firmware level: we show how the card itself can support different protocol logics thanks to PFSM bytecode repre- sentations that can be dynamically injected inside the card memory at run-time without incurring in down time issues or network disconnect events. At present all world countries are seeking to attract the cheapest way of public resources needed to cover budget deficits. This paper aims to review the five alternatives for external funding of countries faced with insufficient public funds to the state budget. It focuses on the possibilities of financing with borrowed resources. The financing alternatives are presented from the perspective of Romania's access to them, with comparative references to other European Union member states. International funding alternatives are: loans from the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, European Commission, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank.

Hydrophobins play an important role in binding and assembly of fungal surface structures as well as in medium-air interactions. These, hydrophobic properties provide interesting possibilities when purification of macromolecules is concerned. In aqueous micellar two-phase systems, based on surfactants, the water soluble hydrophobins are concentrated inside micellar structures and, thus, distributed to defined aqueous phases. From UML Specification into FPGA Implementation

In the paper a method of using the Unified Modeling Language for specification of digital systems, especially logic controllers, is presented. The proposed method is based mainly on the UML state machine di- agrams and uses Hierarchical Concurrent Finite State Machines (HCFSMs) as a temporary model. The paper shows a way to transform the UML diagrams, expressed in XML language, to the form that is acceptable by reconfigurable FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Ar- rays). The UML specification is used to generate an eective program in Hardware Description Languages (HDLs), especially Verilog.
