Crystal field and magnetism with Wannier functions: Rare-earth doped aluminum garnets

Using the recently developed method we calculate the crystal field parameters in yttrium and lutetium aluminum garnets doped with seven trivalent Kramers rare-earth ions. We then insert calculated parameters into the atomic-like Hamiltonian taking into account the electron-electron, spin-orbit and Zeeman interactions and determine the multiplet splitting by the crystal field as well as magnetic $\hat{g}$ tensors. We compare calculated results with available experimental data.

Celem pracy jest identyfikacja przestrzennego zróżnicowania warunków zamieszkania w miejskich obszarach funkcjonalnych w Polsce. Badania dotyczą roku 2013 i obejmują wszystkie obszary funkcjonalne Polski ukształtowane wokół ośrodków wojewódzkich. On the modification of the nitrile groups of acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene into oxazoline in the melt

Oxazoline functionality is well known to be highly reactive toward a lot of other functional groups like carboxyls, hydroxyls, mercaptans, and amines. In this work we report the possibility to modify the nitrile groups of an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene (ABS) copolymer into oxazoline in the molten state in the presence of aminoethanol as modifier agent and zinc acetate as a catalyst. The reaction has been carried out in a batch mixer and in a corotating twin screw extruder. Moving from the paradigms of “mentalization” and “reflective function” (Fonagy and colleagues), this article develops the concept of “mentalizing” in organizations, understood as a process of construction of shared meaning in the work contexts, and whose absence or deterioration produces suffering in organizational experience, exposing individuals to significant psychosocial risks. This model converges in outlining a framework in which the absence of a reflective competence and the lack of symbolization of the experience of work fall on the perception of one's own job, and on the relationship with colleagues and management, producing unsustainability of the work experience. Students’ Experiences of Reflective Writing as a Tool for Learning in Physiotherapy Education

The purpose of this study was to examine physiotherapy students’ experiences of reflective writing. The students (n = 32) were asked to video record their practical activities at school and at workplaces, and to write reflective journals on their experiences. The research data about students’ experiences of reflective writing were collected by interviewing the students. The data were analyzed phenomenographically. Mappings of Lp-integrable distortion: regularity of the inverse

Let be an open set in ℝn and suppose that is a Sobolev homeomorphism. We study the regularity of f–1 under the Lp-integrability assumption on the distortion function Kf. First, if is the unit ball and p > n – 1, then the optimal local modulus of continuity of f–1 is attained by a radially symmetric mapping. We show that this is not the case when p ⩽ n – 1 and n ⩾ 3, and answer a question raised by S. Hencl and P. Koskela. Second, we obtain the optimal integrability results for ∣Df–1∣ in terms of the Lp-integrability assumptions of Kf.
