Maximal potentials, maximal singular integrals, and the spherical maximal function
2014
We introduce a notion of maximal potentials and we prove that they form bounded operators from L to the homogeneous Sobolev space Ẇ 1,p for all n/(n − 1) < p < n. We apply this result to the problem of boundedness of the spherical maximal operator in Sobolev spaces.
Regularity of the Inverse of a Sobolev Homeomorphism
2011
We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the inverse ofa Sobolev homeomorphism to be a Sobolev homeomorphism and conditions under which the inverse is of bounded variation.
Generalized dimension estimates for images of porous sets under monotone Sobolev mappings
2014
We give an essentially sharp estimate in terms of generalized Hausdorff measures for images of porous sets under monotone Sobolev mappings, satisfying suitable Orlicz-Sobolev conditions.
Continuity of the maximal operator in Sobolev spaces
2006
We establish the continuity of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator on Sobolev spaces W 1,p (R n ), 1 < p < ∞. As an auxiliary tool we prove an explicit formula for the derivative of the maximal function.
REGULARITY OF THE FRACTIONAL MAXIMAL FUNCTION
2003
The purpose of this work is to show that the fractional maximal operator has somewhat unexpected regularity properties. The main result shows that the fractional maximal operator maps -spaces boundedly into certain first-order Sobolev spaces. It is also proved that the fractional maximal operator preserves first-order Sobolev spaces. This extends known results for the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator.
Wine and Legality: A Survey to Know the Consumer Opinions on the Activities of Sicilian Wine Companies Operating on Lands Confiscated from the Mafia
2013
In the European Union, since the mid-90s with the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) the term agriculture was joined to that of multifunctionality, as stated in the second pillar of the CAP, because the agricultural sector was placed in front of new challenges, attributing to the development policies of this sector a role of backbone for the economy of all rural areas with low capacity to achieve economic diversification. Actually, with the multifunctionality, the agricultural sector is no longer considered, only, the one which produces food goods, but also it has new and different functions, including those of preserving the environment and the rural landscape and to support the socio-ec…
Identity Processing Orientation, Cognitive and Behavioural Strategies and Well-being
1997
The aim of this study was to investigate interrelationships among the identity negotiation styles that people use, the cognitive and behavioural strategies they deploy, and their sense of subjective well-being. To examine this, 198 American and 109 Finnish college students completed the Identity Style Inventory, the Strategy and Attribution Questionnaire, Rosenberg’s Self-esteem Scale, and the revised Beck’s Depression Inventory. Results showed that people with an information-oriented identity style reported the highest level of self-esteem, those with a normative style had the most stable self-conceptions, and those with a diffuse/avoidant style displayed the highest level of depressive s…
Trajectories of depressive symptoms during emerging adulthood: Antecedents and consequences
2008
In order to examine what kinds of trajectories of depressive symptoms young adults show during emerging adulthood, and their antecedents and consequences, 297 university students completed the revised Beck's depression inventory seven times over a 10-year period, and other measures at the beginning and the end of the study. The growth mixture modelling for depressive symptoms ended up in a 3-group solution: 23% of the participants were typified by a low level of symptoms, 61% showed a moderate level, and 16% fell into the third group with high and increasing levels of depressive symptoms during emerging adulthood. Those on the high-depressive trajectory had a poorer quality of relationships…
Rodzicielstwo adopcyjne i zastępcze w kontekście prenatalnego i perinatalnego okresu życia podopiecznych
2019
One of the fundamental conditions of successful adoption is to provide parents with accurate information about the past of the child and his or her family, analyze the impact of his or her experiences on current functioning, and anticipate their long-term effects. Contemporary knowledge of prenatal and perinatal pedagogy, psychology and medicine allows to claim that the earliest - intrauterine period of life is the time of biological, psychological and even social development of man. Since many orphaned children come from dysfunctional families, it is advisable to consider the specificity of their functioning in relation to the prenatal and perinatal period of their lives and even the exper…
Socioemotional Wealth and Networking in the Internationalisation of Family SMEs
2021
In internationalisation processes, international expansion exposes family SMEs to external networking and the risks such expansion entails, and perceived threats to their socioemotional wealth (SEW) might restrain their willingness to take these actions. However, very few studies measure SEW and associate it with internationalisation. Considering SEW preservation’s prominence in family SMEs and SMEs’ heavy dependence on networking during internationalisation, we hypothesise that SEW preservation has a negative association and networking has a positive association with the family SMEs’ degree of internationalisation (DOI). We reconstruct four SEW constructs that carry significance for family…
