Gender differences in coronary heart disease in elderly population

Coronary heart diseases (CHDs) represent one of the leading causes of death in developed countries, and particularly in elderly populations. There are several genderspecific differences in the risk factors, presentation, management, and prognosis of CHDs in middle-aged and elderly adults. Elderly women, for example, tend to present with these diseases at an older age compared to men and are characterized by a greater number of risk factors and comorbidities at diagnosis. Triarhiskās psihopātijas pazīmju dzimumatšķirības

Pētījuma mērķis ir izanalizēt zinātnisko literatūru un noskaidrot vai pastāv triarhiskās psihopātijas pazīmju dzimumatšķirības. Pētījuma izlasi veidoja 63 pilngadīgi respondent ar dažādu izglītības līmeni, kuriem tika dota Triarhiskā psihopātijas aptauja. Izlase tika sadalīta divās grupās- 33 vīrieši un 30 sievietes. Salīdzinot rezultātus tika noskaidrots, ka drosmes un disinhibīcijas skalās nepastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības starp vīriešu un sieviešu grupu, savukārt zemiskuma skalā statistiksi nozīmīgas dzimumatšķirības pastāv, vīriešiem ir krietni augstāki rezultāti nekā sievietēm. Iegūtie rezultāti ir saskaņā ar iepriekšējiem pētījumiem.

AbstractSuccessfully integrating elite sports with education requires motivation to commit oneself to both domains. This study examines the development of and gender differences in adolescent athletes’ task values for school and sports across the upper secondary school years. A total of 391 adolescents (aged 15–16 at the beginning of the study) were followed four times during sports upper secondary school. The participating student athletes were recruited from six sports upper secondary schools in Finland, which offer equal competitive sport opportunities for both genders. The aim of this research was to explore the relationship between the push, pull, anti-push, and anti-pull factors vs. early retirement intention among Saudi medical staff, and to investigate whether there are gender differences in the early retirement intention.
