Historically, perineal prostatectomy was the primary type of surgery for prostate cancer, performed for the first time by Billroth in 1867 mostly without visual control. However, Hugh Hampton Young received credit for the first perineal prostatectomy after reporting in 1905 his experience with a mostly visually controlled operation and new special instruments [1]. We report the case of an isolated non-displaced fracture of the capitate in an 11-year-old boy. On the basis of the relevant literature we present a survey of the diagnostic and treatment options. To the best of our knowledge this is the first description of a paediatric capitate fracture in the German-speaking area.

Abstract Background Development of different strategies and devices improved CTO revascularization. However, technical and procedural success might be influenced by several factors including geographical expertise. Methods A total of 4412 CTO coronary treated lesions (Japan 1531 Europe 2881) (mean age 64.5±10.7, male 85.2%, JCTO score 2.09±1.24) were analyzed in European and Japanese registries during the year 2016. The primary endpoint was to assess technical success rate of CTO-PCI cases and procedural outcomes. The interest in the treatment of benign diseases with radiation therapy has grown particularly in the Western part of the world. In 1996, a questionnaire was sent to 1348 institutes worldwide listed in the directory of the Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology asking whether the respondents considered a list of 28 most common benign disorders as being a good indication for orbital radiotherapy.1 Questions concerned the frequency of such treatments and the treatment schedules used. The prevention of keloid formation was the most widely accepted indication, followed by Graves’ ophthalmopathy. Thus, radiotherapy for this orbital disorder is generally accepted and applied worldwide.

Objective: To examine the difference between outcomes in the administration of concurrent endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS), septoplasty (SP), and rhinoplasty (RP) and concurrent ESS and SP in 1 single surgical session.
