Estudiem en aquest article els primers passos en l’evolució semàntica i en la gramaticalització del verb "jaquir". Aquest germanisme pertany a un estrat lèxic del català que va començar a fer-se menys usual a la darreria del s. xv, desplaçat per altres sinònims, en aquest cas "lleixar-deixar". La recerca es fonamenta en un corpus de documentació en llatí i en català dels segles xi i xii. L’objectiu és descriure, en aquella primera documentació, la gènesi dels significats que ja apareixen ben establits durant el període literari. Si tratta di una ampia prefazione al volume Rethinking and Recontextualizing Glosses: New Perspectives in the Study of Late Anglo-Saxon Glossography che raccoglie 21 contributi dedicati a glosse e glossari composti in Inghilterra (e in Scandinavia), come pure a problematiche specifiche della produzione glossografica medievale, come il rapporto tra lemma e interpretamentum, la portata dell'influsso delle Etymologiae di Isidoro, la tipologia dei glossari, l'impiego di glosse e glossari per l'istruzione privata e la didattica. Il saggio prende in esame gli interpretamenta di due glosse analoghe che ricorrono una nel Glossario di AElfric e l'altra nel Glossario (a soggetto) di Anversa e Londra. I due glossari sono tra loro imparentati. Le due rese in anglosassone che sono consimili non hanno corrispondenza in altri glossari o testi coevi.

This is the first thorough study of a text occurring in two Anglo-Saxon manuscripts. The Latin source of the Old English text preserved in mss. London, BL, Stowe 944 and London, BL, Egerton 3314, fols. 9-72 + Cotton Caligula A xv, fols. 120-53 (Cameron B.12.10) was unknown. The essay provides evidence for the OE text being a translation of a Latin text on liturgical questions. This discovery allows understanding the very nature of the OE work, fosters its correct classification and provides a rationale for its collocation in the two Anglo-Saxon mss. SPI/INTEGRAL in-flight performance

The SPI instrument has been launched on-board the INTEGRAL observatory on October 17, 2002. SPI is a spectrometer devoted to the sky observation in the 20 keV-8 MeV energy range using 19 germanium detectors. The performance of the cryogenic system is nominal and allows to cool the 19 kg of germanium down to 85 K with a comfortable margin. The energy resolution of the whole camera is 2.5 keV at 1.1 MeV. This resolution degrades with time due to particle irradiation in space. We show that the annealing process allows the recovery of the initial performance. The anticoincidence shield works as expected, with a low threshold at 75 keV, reducing the GeD background by a factor of 20. The digital …
