Urban Landscape in the Graphic Representations of the Cathedral of Palermo

The present study offers some reflections on the relationship between the cathedral of Palermo and the urban area in which it insists, regarding the indissoluble link with the landscape aspect that through the history offered a variety of perceptive suggestions, marked by the passage and presence of different dominations. The cognitive storytelling of the cathedral of Palermo is obtained through a graphic study on routes which provided of multiple images keeping the scar of time in the elaboration of orographic sections and perspective views and highlighting the role of perception in this changing combination of architecture and landscape.

Love is often considered a positive emotion and an ethical relationship between people. The representations of love in contemporary culture usually emphasise its beneficial, even empowering effects. However, the fluidity of the concept also enables other kinds of representations of love to flourish. Timing of subduction and exhumation in a subduction channel: Evidence from slab melts from La Corea Mélange (eastern Cuba)

article i nfo High pressure igneous rocks (tonalites), generated by partial melting of subducted basaltic rocks accreted to the mantle wedge, are present in the La Corea serpentinite-matrix melange (eastern Cuba) as centimeter- to meter-sized blocks and as concordant to crosscutting veins within high-pressure parent amphibolite blocks. The slab melts have adakitic signatures, in agreement with formation after partial melting of metabasite. Abstract The mechanical properties of bituminous mixture strongly depend on the gradation of the aggregate that represents the mineral skeleton of the mixture, since for open and gap-graded mixtures, stresses due to vehicles in movement on the pavement are mainly transmitted through their contacts. Internal structure of bituminous mixture is, therefore, of great interest for road and infrastructure engineering and it is appropriate to study it with recently developed image analysis method.
