Personal data in a large digital library

The RePEc Economics library offers the largest distributed source of freely downloadable scientific research reports in the world. RePEc also contains details about Economics institutions, publication outlets and people working in the field. All this data forms a large relational dataset. In this paper we describe HoPEc, a system that allows to implement access control records personal data within RePEc. The bulk of these records describe the authors of documents. These records are maintained by the authors themselves. We discuss the technical and social aspects of this system.

Over the last decade, digital pulse-processing (DPP) electronics have been widely proposed and used for new generation x- and gamma-ray spectrometers. DPP systems, based on direct digitizing and processing of detector signals, lead to better results than the traditional analog pulse-processing electronics in terms of stability, flexibility, reproducibility, energy resolution, throughput, and dead time. Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena oli tutkia ja analysoida verkkopelin pelaamista ja siihen liittyvää vuorovaikutusta. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, miten ja miksi lapset pelaavat verkkopeliä ja millaista vuorovaikutusta pelaamiseen liittyy. Lisäksi haluttiin selvittää, miten lapsille suunnattua verkkopeliä voitaisiin kehittää. Tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisin menetelmin. Aineisto kerättiin haastattelemalla ja havainnoimalla verkkopelin pelaajia yksilö-, pari- ja ryhmätilanteissa. Tutkimukseen osallistui yhdeksän 7–12-vuotiasta lasta. The aim of this cross-national longitudinal study was to identify a change in mental health indicators: coronavirus-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), perceived stress, and fear of vaccination (FoVac). The first measurement (T1) took place in February 2021, and the second (T2) took place in May–June 2021. The sample consisted of 1723 participants across Germany, Israel, Poland, and Slovenia, between the age of 20 and 40 (M = 30.74, SD = 5.74). A cohort perspective of youth poverty in the United States

The aim of this paper is to study the degree of poverty persistence of American young adults and its evolution. Using data from NLSY79 and NLSY97, respectively, we compared two cohorts followed along eight years (in the 1980s and in the 2000s) to asses which socio-economic characteristics preserve them to fall in chronic poverty or determine the duration and severity of this detrimental experience.

National audience; Cet article présente un système de reconnaissance de la structure logique de notices bibliographiques en vue de la conversion rétrospective de catalogues de bibliothèques. Le système est guidé par un modèle de structures de la classe des notices, construit sur la base de spécifications détaillées par la bibliothèque. Le modèle fait intervenir aussi bien des connaissances sur la macro-structure des notices que sur la micro-structure de leur contenu.
