A risk to privacy or a need for security? : Digital domestic technologies in the lives of young adults and late middle-agers

This chapter discusses the ways young adults and late middle-agers define their relationship with digital technologies in the contexts of housing and living. By analysing data from eight (8) focus group discussions, this chapter identifies socially shared ideals regarding consumption of digital technologies typical of young adults and late middle-agers as well as ideals that connect people over generational and life course boundaries. Young adults interpret digital technologies through concepts of time management, self-control and privacy. Perinteisesti kansalaisten omaehtoiseen toimintaan perustuneen kolmannen sektorin tehtävät ja toimintatavat ovat muutoksessa. Baryon Acoustic Oscillations in LRGs

Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO) have been previously detected using correlation functions and power spectra of the galaxy distribution. In this work, we present a new method for the detection of the real-space structures associated with this feature. These baryon acoustic structures are spherical shells with a relatively small density contrast, surrounding high density central regions. We design a specific wavelet adapted to the search for shells, and exploit the physics of the process by making use of two different mass tracers, introducing a specific statistic to detect the BAO features. The study of the signatures of multimodality in groups and clusters of galaxies, an environment for most of the galaxies in the Universe, gives us information about the dynamical state of clusters and about merging processes, which affect the formation and evolution of galaxies, groups and clusters, and larger structures - superclusters of galaxies and the whole cosmic web. We search for the presence of substructure, a non-Gaussian, asymmetrical velocity distribution of galaxies, and large peculiar velocities of the main galaxies in clusters with at least 50 member galaxies, drawn from the SDSS DR8. National audience; Le projet de recherche mené sur la plateforme Nuvee dans le cadre d’un doctorat en Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication étudie l’impact des dynamiques communautaires dans le cadre de l’e-ETP. Nous souhaitons comprendre comment la possibilité d’accès à des savoirs expérientiels peut améliorer la prise en charge de l’obésité.Dans cette première enquête quantitative nous avons mis à l’épreuve l’hypothèse selon laquelle rejoindre la communauté Nuvee a permis aux utilisateurs de développer ou de bénéficier d’un soutien social en ligne.
