Bakalaura darba mērķis ir veikt ugunsgrēku režīma rekonstrukciju Bricu ezera apkārtnē un Vidzemes augstienē holocēnā. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, pētījumā analizēti Bricu ezera nogulumi no diviem urbumiem (ezera centrālajā un piekrastes daļā). Divi urbumi analizēti, lai raksturotu reģionālo (centrālais urbums) un lokālo (piekrastes urbums) ugunsgrēku tendences dabīgos apstākļos un iespējamās antropogēnās darbības rezultātā. Nogulumu hronoloģija izveidota, balstoties uz 7 14C AMS datējumiem, un katram urbumam sastādīts dziļuma-vecuma modelis. Christian churches control substantial areas of land in Africa. While intensifying struggles over their holdings are partly due to the increased pressure on land in general, they also reflect transformations in the relations through which churches’ claims to land are legitimized, the increased association of churches with business, and churches’ unique positioning as both institutions and communities. In higher education, it led to a swift shift from on-campus to online education resulting in practices of emergency remote teaching through virtual classrooms. Sixth graders evaluating online texts : self-efficacy beliefs predict confirming but not questioning the credibility

This study investigated how sixth graders’ credibility evaluation self-efficacy was associated with their ability to evaluate the credibility of online texts. Students (N = 265, Mage = 12.45) worked in a web-based environment, where they read and evaluated two more credible texts and two less credible texts that required confirming and questioning the texts’ credibility, respectively. Students were asked to evaluate the author’s expertise, the author’s benevolence, and the quality of evidence in each text. Coding emotions in computer-mediated communication: the example of YouTube comments

Computer-mediated communication (CMC) is essentially text-based. This is generally said to result in a “paucity of paralinguistic and non-linguistic cues” (Bieswanger, 2013: 468), but it is also considered to be the main reason for the development of other characteristic non-verbal modalities, such as emoticons and emoji. How are, then, emotions expressed in such a specific context? Are verbal modalities as limited as they are said to be? Do non-verbal modalities complete or replace them? This paper will try to answer those questions using discourse analysis tools applied to a sample of comments on a YouTube video.

Tässä tutkimuksessa tutkittiin rockfestivaalin kriisiviestintää festivaaliorganisaation ja sen yhden sidosryhmän näkökulmasta. Kriisiviestintä on aiheena ajankohtainen niin viestinnän tutkimuksessa kuin yhteisöjen käytännön toiminnassa. Festivaalit ovat lisäksi yhteiskunnallisesti kiinnostava tutkimuskohde. The “living book”, a new format from the Life Sciences, made it possible to take stock of a subject, to highlight a corpus of images, an advanced research and a bibliography. This hybrid, Web-oriented format is re-positioning the producer, the user and the technology. In a simple, lean and rigorous apparatus, it allows to organise a diverse and growing mass of documentation (texts, images, audio, websites). I study the emergence of traditional online activities of the museums and their fears in the vivid and multifaceted Internet and how the open Internet is setting out to compete with museums.
