In applied organizational research, where economy of scale is often a crucial factor in successful assessment, ultra-short measures are often needed. This study investigates the psychometric properties of the Reduced Affective Well-Being Scale (RAWS), an ultra-short measure of positive and negative affect in the workplace. This 6-item ultra-short version was compared with the original 12-item scale proposed by Segura and González-Romá (2003) in terms of internal consistency and criterion validity, using a sample of 1117 bank employees. The accurate delineation of flood hazard maps is a key element of flood risk management policy. Flood inundation models are fundamental for reproducing the boundaries of flood-prone areas, but their calibration is limited to the information available on the areas affected by inundation during observed flood events (typically fragmentary photo, video or partial surveys). Esta tesis doctoral está compuesta de cuatro estudios, uno transversal y tres longitudinales. Una muestra representativa de 3.095 adolescentes españoles, de 12 a 18 años, fue encuestada en el estudio transversal. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar el carácter predictivo de ciertas variables relacionadas con la salud y otras variables sociodemográficas sobre la actividad física moderada-vigorosa y el uso de medios tecnológicos de pantalla en adolescentes. Kvalifikācijas darbā ir aprakstīta izstrāde rīkam, kurš attēlo statistiku par programmatūras izstrādes procesu, izmantojot un analizējot Git repozitorijus, ka arī veic meklēšanu projekta pirmkoda versijās. Lietotājs ievada repozitorija atrašanas vietu datorā, kas uzsāk kommitu datu (kad, cik, kurš lietotājs izveidoja) analīzes procesu, un attēlo grafikus ar datiem no Git repozitorija. Rīks ir domāts izstrādātājiem, lai pārskatāmi apskatītu savu ieguldījumu projektā vai paskatīties uz projekta attīstību, kā arī projekta vadītājiem, lai analizētu izstrādātāju komandas darbu. Rīks ir izstrādāts Java programmēšanas valodā, izmantojot JavaFX bibliotēku.

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan Jyväskylän ammattikorkeakoulun kirjaston verkkosivujen ja -tekstien käytettävyyttä sekä kirjaston representaatiota. Käytettävyys on verkkosivuilla ja -teksteissä olennaisessa osassa, jotta asiakas löytää helposti tarvitsemansa tiedot ja palvelut. Representaatio liittyy kielellisiin valintoihin, siitä millä tavalla kirjasto rakentuu teksteissä. Yhteiskunnassamme vallitsee vahva hoikkuusnormi, ja ruumiin koko onkin yhä enenevissä määrin alkanut vaikuttaa siihen, miten yksilöön suhtaudutaan. Kandidaatintutkielmani tavoitteena on selvittää, millaisia lihavuuden representaatioita ja lihavuuteen liittyviä diskursseja laihdutusblogeissa esiintyy. In this paper, our objective is to analyze how participants use the word kansa 'people' on the largest discussion forum in Finland, called Suomi24 (Finland 24). Set in the tradition of studies that look at digital interactions, this paper aims to explore the dimension of illness as referred to by informal caregivers in online exchanges. The research attempts to a) describe posts as mediated illness stories by comparing them to the storytelling in interaction model (Mishler), and b) explore what is revealed about the writer. A data set of 7371 posts (including sub-replies) has been studied as personal narratives in non-clinical therapeutic exchanges by means of Digital Conversation Analysis (Giles et al.), and investigated as written emotional disclosure (Pennebaker).
