Aim: To investigate the link between H.pylori infection and dyspepsia in children, and association with reflux oesophagitis. Patients and Methods: H.pylori status was detected by rapid urease test and/or culture in 130 consecutive symptomatic children coming for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy: 40 – aged 8–12 years (55% boys); 90 – aged 13–18 years (21% boys). Endoscopic findings were analyzed. H.pylori prevalence in the age group 8–12 years was compared to the prevalence among 55 asymptomatic children, aged 7–12 years (13C–urea breath test). Este artículo evalúa el impacto del cierre escolar sobre la desigualdad de aprendizaje entre niños de diferentes contextos sociales en Cataluña. We report results from very long baseline interferometric (VLBI) observations of the supermassive black hole in the Galactic center, Sgr A*, at 1.3 mm (230 GHz). The observations were performed in 2013 March using six VLBI stations in Hawaii, California, Arizona, and Chile. Compared to earlier observations, the addition of the APEX telescope in Chile almost doubles the longest baseline length in the array, provides additional {\it uv} coverage in the N-S direction, and leads to a spatial resolution of $\sim$30 $\mu$as ($\sim$3 Schwarzschild radii) for Sgr A*. Abstract We defined, implemented and tested two new methods for irreversible compression of angiocardiographic still images: brightness error limitation (BEL) and pseudo-gradient adaptive brightness and contrast error limitation (PABCEL). The scan path used to compress the digital images is based on the Peano–Hilbert plane-filling curve. The compression methods limit, for each pixel, the brightness errors introduced when approximating the original image (i.e. the difference between the values of corresponding pixels as grey levels). The plate archive of the 1.2 m Baldone telescope (Latvia) has approximately 780 and 4660 astronegatives exposed in 1967-1993 in the U (ZU21 + UG1 filter plates) and V (A600N + ZS17 filter films) closed to Johnson system U and V passbands. Digitization of astronegatives is carried out using the Epson Expression 10000XL scanner, the scanning mode is 1200 or 2400 dpi, each field covers 19 square degrees of sky. The plates and films are scanned at the Baldone Observatory, processing of digitized scans is carried out by the observers in Baldone, at the Research Institute "Mykolaiv Astronomical Observatory" and at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. …

TheUniversityofLatvia's Institute of astronomy possesses a collection of 22 thousand photographic plates taken by the1.2 mSchmidt telescope located at the Baldone observatory. Among others, there are 767 astronegatives in this collection obtained in 314 sky areas using the Johnson U-filter. The field of view of each negative covers 19 square degrees. The plate scale is 72”/mm. The digitizing of the UV-collection has started in June 2016 with EPSON EXPRESSION 10000XL flatbed scanner. The general aim of the digitizing is to obtain UV-magnitudes and positions of all objects registered on the plates. This paper presents the topology of a multimedia tourism service that targets mobile devices equipped with broadband and either multicast or broadcast access capabilities. Multicast / Broadcast access is used to handle the delivery of multimedia data to many simultaneous users in the service area. The solution adopted is based on existing standards for mobile TV services, but introducing features that enable the provision of generic multimedia services on top of mobile hybrid broadband and broadcast networks. Tämän artikkelin tavoitteena on laajentaa digitalisaatiosta, datafikaatiosta, automaatiosta ja kasvatuksesta käytävää teoreettista keskustelua. Artikkelissa pohdin sitä, millaisia merkityksiä koulutuksen kiihtyvällä datafikaatiolla ja automaatiolla on opettaja-oppilassuhteille ja ylipäätään käsityksellemme formaalin kasvatuksen olemuksesta. Käsitteellisesti ammennan Martin Buberin dialogisesta filosofiasta, erityisesti Minä–Sinä- ja Minä–Se-käsitepareista, jotka kuvaavat eri tapoja, joilla ihmiset ovat suhteissa toistensa kanssa.
