Upper limits (95% CL) on the number of DV+muon displaced vertices in 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ and the corresponding vertex-level efficiencies (from Auxiliary Figure 7a) for four RPV SUSY models as a function of the $\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ proper decay distance $c\tau$. The models consider squark or gluino pair production, with masses in GeV as indicated, with either $\tilde{q}\to q[\tilde{\chi}_1^0\to\mu qq]$ or $\tilde{g}\to qq[\tilde{\chi}_1^0\to\mu qq]$ decays, respectively.

Upper limits (95% CL) on the number of DV+electron displaced vertices in 20.3 fb$^{-1}$ and the corresponding vertex-level efficiencies (from Auxiliary Figure 7d) for four RPV SUSY models as a function of the $\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ proper decay distance $c\tau$. The models consider squark or gluino pair production, with masses in GeV as indicated, with either $\tilde{q}\to q\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ or $\tilde{g}\to qq\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ decays, respectively.

Details of sparticle decay modes, model parameters, approximate number of generated events $N_{\rm evts}$ and total production cross-section $\sigma$ for selected models considered in this analysis. The long-lived particle (LLP) is the $\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ in all cases except for the model used for DV+$E_T^{miss}$, where it is the $\tilde{g}$. Events in some models are filtered to make better use of computing resources, details are given in the original table and the associated efficiency is already taken into account in the quoted cross-sections.

Upper limits (95% CL) from the DV+$E_T^{miss}$ channel on the production cross-section and the corresponding event-level efficiencies (from Auxiliary Figure 11a) for four RPV SUSY models as a function of the $\tilde{\chi}_1^0$ proper decay distance $c\tau$. The models consider squark or gluino pair production, with masses in GeV as indicated, with either $\tilde{q}\to q[\tilde{\chi}_1^0\to \nu qq]$ or $\tilde{g}\to qq[\tilde{\chi}_1^0\to \nu qq]$ decays, respectively. For comparison, the production cross-sections for $m(\tilde{g})$ = 700 GeV, $m(\tilde{q})$ = 700 GeV and $m(\tilde{q})$ = 1000 GeV are $430\pm80$ fb, $124\pm17$ fb and $11.9\pm1.5$ fb, respectively.
Multi-channel search for squarks and gluinos in root s=7 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector at the LHC
2013
A search for supersymmetric particles in final states with zero, one, and two leptons, with and without jets identified as originating from b-quarks, in 4.7 fb[superscript −1] of √s = 7 TeV pp collisions produced by the Large Hadron Collider and recorded by the ATLAS detector is presented. The search uses a set of variables carrying information on the event kinematics transverse and parallel to the beam line that are sensitive to several topologies expected in supersymmetry. Mutually exclusive final states are defined, allowing a combination of all channels to increase the search sensitivity. No deviation from the Standard Model expectation is observed. Upper limits at 95 % confidence level…
Search for new phenomena in final states with large jet multiplicities and missing transverse momentum at s√=8 TeV proton-proton collisions using the…
2013
A search is presented for new particles decaying to large numbers (7 or more) of jets, with missing transverse momentum and no isolated electrons or muons. This analysis uses 20.3 fb[superscript −1] of pp collision data at s√ = 8 TeV collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The sensitivity of the search is enhanced by considering the number of b-tagged jets and the scalar sum of masses of large-radius jets in an event. No evidence is found for physics beyond the Standard Model. The results are interpreted in the context of various simplified supersymmetry-inspired models where gluinos are pair produced, as well as an mSUGRA/CMSSM model.
Towards N=1 Super-Yang-Mills on the Lattice
1997
We consider the lattice regularization of N=1 supersymmetric Yang--Mills theory with Wilson fermions. This formulation breaks supersymmetry at any finite lattice spacing; we discuss how Ward identities can be used to define a supersymmetric continuum limit, which coincides with the point where the gluino becomes massless. As a first step towards the understanding of the zero gluino-mass limit, we present results on the quenched low-lying spectrum of SU(2) N=1 Super-Yang--Mills, at $\beta=2.6$ on a $V=16^3 \times 32$ lattice, in the OZI approximation. Our results, in spite of the quenched and OZI approximations, are in remarkable agreement with theoretical predictions in the supersymmetric t…
