Study of scintillation light collection, production and propagation in a 4 tonne dual-phase LArTPC

The $3 \times 1 \times 1$ m$^3$ demonstrator is a dual phase liquid argon time projection chamber that has recorded cosmic rays events in 2017 at CERN. The light signal in these detectors is crucial to provide precise timing capabilities. The performances of the photon detection system, composed of five PMTs, are discussed. The collected scintillation and electroluminescence light created by passing particles has been studied in various detector conditions. In particular, the scintillation light production and propagation processes have been analyzed and compared to simulations, improving the understanding of some liquid argon properties.

Article The aim of this study was to evaluate the exposure of individual workers to ergonomic risk factors associated with upper, lower extremities and trunk WRMSDs and to assess entire body posture for risk of WRMSDs. The company that produces finished metal products (ironing boards) was chosen for the research. Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) was used to assess the entire body posture for risk of WRMSDs. Shell-model computed cross sections for charged-current scattering of astrophysical neutrinos off 40Ar

Charged-current (anti)neutrino- 40 Ar cross sections for astrophysical neutrinos have been calculated. The initial and final nuclear states were calculated using the nuclear shell model. The folded solar-neutrino scattering cross section was found to be 1.78 ( 23 ) × 10 − 42 cm 2 , which is higher than what the previous papers have reported. The contributions from the 1 − and 2 − multipoles were found to be significant at supernova-neutrino energies, confirming the random-phase approximation (RPA) result of a previous study. Development of Henneguya zschokkei (Myxozoa: Myxosporea) actinospores in oligochaetes and plasmodia in whitefish Coregonous lavaretus

The aim of this study was to describe the life cycle of H. zschokkei by observing the development of actinospores in oligochaete and the morphological development of H. zschokkei cysts in whitefish. Laboratory observation of seasonal occurrence of actinospores sampled from oligochaetes from RTKL Tervo Fish Farm revealed 6 types of actinospores from collective groups of Triactinomyxon, Raabeia and Aurantiactinomyxon in 2010, and 3 types of actinospores in 2011. One of the main problems in the diffusion of power line communication (PLC) in medium voltage (MV) networks is the need of a dedicated PLC coupler to be installed all over the network.
