Slengs ir bagātīga neliterārās leksikas daļa, kura nepārtraukti papildinās ar jaundarinājumiem. Slengs vairs nav tikai sarunvalodas daļa. Tas arvien plašāk iespiežas masu mediju valodā. Maģistra darba „Prefiksāli slenga verbi mūsdienu latviešu valodā” mērķis ir apzināt prefiksālu slenga verbu izplatību mūsdienu latviešu valodā un noskaidrot prefiksu lomu slenga nozīmju veidošanā. Lai šo mērķi sasniegtu, teorētiskās literatūras studijās aplūkoti jēdzieni argo, žargons un slengs, izveidota prefiksālu verbu datubāze, iekļaujot tajā verbu lietojuma piemērus no tīmekļa un Saeimas sēžu stenogrammu korpusa, veikta apkopoto slenga verbu vispusīga analīze. The problem of minimization of a smoothing functional under inequality constraints is considered in a hyperplane. The conditions of the existence of a solution are obtained and some properties of this solution are investigated. It is proved that the solution is a spline. Shell-model computed cross sections for charged-current scattering of astrophysical neutrinos off 40Ar

Charged-current (anti)neutrino-$^{40}\mathrm{Ar}$ cross sections for astrophysical neutrinos have been calculated. The initial and final nuclear states were calculated using the nuclear shell model. The folded solar-neutrino scattering cross section was found to be $1.78(23)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}42}\phantom{\rule{4pt}{0ex}}{\mathrm{cm}}^{2}$, which is higher than what the previous papers have reported. The contributions from the ${1}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${2}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ multipoles were found to be significant at supernova-neutrino energies, confirming the random-phase approximation (RPA) result of a previous study. Performance changes during repeated military occupational test and its associations to physical performance

The present study investigated performance changes during three runs (1 min recovery) of repeated military simulation task test (RMST) and its associations with physical performance. Voluntary male soldiers (N = 114) participated in a series of measurements of physical performance. Lower body explosive force production, anaerobic endurance and upper body strength endurance together explained 58% of the variance in the first RSMT (p < 0.001). The same variables explained the variance in the second and third runs of RSMT by 60% and 51%, but explosive force production was replaced with aerobic endurance, assessed by the 3.2 km loaded run (p < 0.001). Band Jahn-Teller type structural instabilities of cubic Mn(2)YZ Heusler compounds causing tetragonal distortions can be predicted by ab initio band-structure calculations. This allows for identification of new Heusler materials with tunable magnetic and structural properties that can satisfy the demands for spintronic applications, such as in spin-transfer torque-based devices.

Context: In preparation for the COROT mission, an exhaustive photometric study of Be stars located in the seismology fields of the COROT mission has been performed. The very precise and long-time-spanned photometric observations gathered by the COROT satellite will give important clues of the origin of the Be phenomenon.
