L’elaborazione dell’Agenda Urbana Europea ha, insieme all’Agenda Urbana Nazionale dei Paesi dell’Unione, lo scopo di integrare le strategie dei diversi territori ed accrescere il dinamismo economico. Laddove manchi la sinergia fra tali livelli operativi diminuisce la potenzialità e l’efficacia delle politiche urbane. Da una riflessione critica sul flop della candidatura della città di Palermo al titolo di Capitale Europea della Cultura è possibile estrapolare spunti per una buona costruzione di politiche urbane nell'ambito di un'Agenda Urbana Nazionale e per progetti competitivi nei cicli di programmazione europea.

Il contributo indaga i più recenti sviluppi teorici sul tema del policentrismo negli studi urbani critici, coniugando il sapere tecnico dell'urbanistica con gli stimoli delle scienze sociali. Al di là della ricostruzione del dibattito scientifico, il testo propone alcune possibili declinazioni del concetto di policentrismo nell'antropocene post-pandemico e in un'epoca di urbanizzazione planetaria.

High-density electromyography activity in various hamstring exercises

Proximal‐distal differences in muscle activity are rarely considered when defining the activity level of hamstring muscles. The aim of this study was to determine the inter‐muscular and proximal‐distal electromyography (EMG) activity patterns of hamstring muscles during common hamstring exercises. Nineteen amateur athletes without a history of hamstring injury performed 9 exercises, while EMG activity was recorded along the biceps femoris long head (BFlh) and semitendinosus (ST) muscles using 15‐channel high‐density electromyography (HD‐EMG) electrodes. The transformation of Musée Guimet and the transition of museums in the ‘countries of origin’ of its collections elucidates how white-cube crystallises Western cultural hegemony by erasing the colonial past of the objects and by representing the physical form of modernity. It contributes as well to nullifying the demand of repatriation, which seems to merely raise new power struggles rather than to recover indigenous beliefs (or identities). Artikkelissa pohditaan etnografista kenttätyötä ja sen kokemista aloittelevan tutkijan näkökulmasta. Hänninen käyttää esimerkkinä omaa kokemustaan kenttätyöstä Napolissa, jossa hän keräsi pro gradu -aineistoaan kaupungin uskonnollisista ilmiöistä. Artikkelissaan hän integroi omaa kenttäkokemustaan etnologian, kulttuuriantropologian ja uskontotieteen kenttämetodioppaiden kaanoniin. Mikä on ero akatemisen kenttätyöopetuksen ja käytännön välillä?
