The research presented in this chapter intended illustrating the practices im-plemented to foster inclusion of and support to migrants above all, female refugees/asylum seekers hosted by reception centres in Sicily . At the same time, it sought to outline some of the limits the reception system presents when it comes to supporting victims of proximity vio-lence. The role played by newsmedia in the perception of the Other is central in a democracy because the foreigner-enemy frame and the description of the migratory phenomenon as a menace offered by journalism may contribute to the spread of racism and influence migration policies in order to ensure safety. In this paper I will underline the presence of some linguistic strategies used by Italian newsmedia to present migrants as a danger and will put them in connection with infotainment logic and the new flow of direct digital communication between individuals and leaders.

La inscripción en el registro consular no es obligatoria para los emigrantes españoles. Conlleva, no obstante, una serie de ventajas que propician, antes o después, su realización. En este artículo se identifican y analizan los principales motivos que animan a ello a los emigrantes españoles. Threats and attitudes toward Russian-speaking immigrants: a comparative study between younger and older Finns

Using integrated threat theory as a theoretical lens to detect negative attitudes toward minority groups, this study compares and contrasts the perceptions and attitudes of older and younger Finns toward Russian-speaking minorities in Finland. A sample of high school students between 16 and 20 years of age represented the younger generation, while individuals over 65 years of age represented the older generation. The total sample was 242. Results indicated that there is a positive correlation between threat perception and prejudice.
