Based on median/large group settings, it is aimed at promoting the development of psychology students’ professional identities. Background: The Self-Regulation of Eating Behavior Questionnaire (SREBQ) is an economical way of assessing an individual's self-regulatory abilities regarding eating behavior. Such scales are needed in the German population; therefore, the purpose of the present study was the translation and validation of a German version of the SREBQ.Method: First, we conducted a pilot study (Study 1; N = 371) after the translation procedure. Why is ethnic membership so important for identity? The author answers that culture is an inseparable element of personal identity and the distinction of identity from intrapsychic, interpsychic and transpsychic experience does not correspond to the psychic reality of the self. There is a reciprocal `conception' between individual and world: the `subject' is constructed by a transpersonal world that he or she reelaborates. In such a sense the small group can be seen as a laboratory, because it allows a confrontation of similarities and differences and the elaboration of cultural, institutional, individual and family dimensions.

Intrapersonal split alliances were defined as discrepancies in how group members perceived their positive bonding relationships with the group leader, the other group members, and the group-as-a-whole, and were related to group members' outcome. Participants were 168 patients (116 women and 52 men) diagnosed as overweight or obese who participated in 1 of 20, 12-session, therapy groups for weight management. We used West and Kenny's (2011) Truth-and-Bias (TB) model to examine how accurately group therapists' judge their group members' alliances, and the effects of therapist-patient congruence in alliance ratings on patient outcomes. Were considered: (a) directional bias - therapists' tendency to over- or underrate their clients' alliances, (b) truth strength - clients' alliance ratings, and (c) bias strength - therapists' tendency to conflate their alliance ratings for a specific group member with the average alliance ratings for the other members of the group. Group analysis is a methodology that localizes the interactions arising from patients' symptoms and personality disorders. This marks the passage from a clinical-character aspect to a direct vision of the conflictual and unconscious borders between Ego and Superego. Thus the traumatic personal history of the individual is relatively freed from the constrictions of the repetition compulsion present in the symptomatic structures. The author maintains that combined therapy (a weekly group session and a weekly individual session) reduces cases of abandonment of the group caused by the deepest resistances of the id.
