In contemporary political economy of governance, this regime has been construed as a crisis response of the capitalist class to manage the conflict-ridden consequences of economic globalization; and, as an ideological project of a section of the ruling elites to justify the embedding of market-oriented development processes in a politically repressive government institution. Final disposal of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) from nuclear power plants (NPPs) is an ethical issue with implications within and across generations. We address this issue from the perspective of nuclear communities that host nuclear waste disposal sites. These are primarily the communities that face injustice due to the potential radiological risks. A resident survey (n = 454) was conducted in two Finnish nuclear communities, i.e. Eurajoki and Pyhäjoki, that are being considered as alternative sites for a second repository for SNF. This presents a notable difference to Sweden where the self-governing and politically elected assemblies at the regional level function as key regional cultural policy authorities. Oikeuslaitoksen toiminnan tehottomuuteen puututtiin 1700-luvun puolivälissä lukuisten valtiopäivävalitusten jälkeen. Vuosina 1761 ja 1766 annetut kuninkaalliset ohjauskirjeet tulivat viitoittamaan alioikeuksien valvontaa aina 1920-luvulle saakka. Hovioikeuden kanneviskaalin tehtävänä oli valvoa oman hovioikeuspiirinsä alioikeuksien toimintaa ja lainmukaisuutta. Vaasan hovioikeuden kanneviskaalin arkiston asiakirjat antavat mahdollisuuden tutkia vireille pantuja virkavirhesyytöksiä ja niistä annettuja päätöksiä ja tuomioita.
