Conflicts among different ecosystem services have been shown to be common and potentially exacerbated by management interventions. In order to improve the sustainability of natural resource use, the occurrence of these conflicts and the effects that management actions have on them need to be understood. Social media as a place to see and be seen : Exploring factors affecting job attainment via social media

Job seekers can utilize social media platforms to actively search for job opportunities and also receive unsolicited job offers from recruiters and employers. Using data from a representative sample of Finnish social media users, this article studies both aspects of social media job attainment by analyzing how much individuals successfully apply for jobs and get recruited to positions through social media. Results show that the prevalence of successfully applying to jobs through social media does not differ statistically between socio-economic groups, but the prevalence of getting recruited to jobs through social media is greater within higher socio-economic groups. Using large-scale, linked, employer–employee, Finnish panel data, the authors examine firms’ internal versus external hiring decisions more comprehensively than has prior literature. The results show that vacancies in job hierarchies are filled more often by horizontal moves than by promotions. Most horizontal moves are external and within the same job functions, so that internally promoted workers face external competitors occupying higher job levels. Compared to internally promoted workers, external and internal horizontal hires have stronger observable ability indicators (e.g., education, experience, prior work history) but weaker job performance in the year preceding the transfer. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, miten asiakaspalvelun raportoinnin avulla voidaan kehittää asiakkaan saaman palvelun laatua. Tutkimus toteutettiin toimeksiantona kommunikaatioratkaisuja tarjoavalle Line Carrier Oy:lle. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan asiakaspalvelun raportointia osana yrityksen liiketoimintatiedon hallintaa. Tämän lisäksi tutkimuksessa analysoidaan liiketoimintatiedon hallintaan sekä asiakaspalvelun raportointiin liittyviä käsitteitä sekä arvioidaan niiden vaikutusta palvelun laatuun.
