Reactions of (RNH)3PNSiMe3 (3a, R = tBu; 3b, R = Cy) with trimethylaluminum result in the formation of {Me2Al(μ-NtBu)(μ-NSiMe3)P(NHtBu)2]} (4) and the dimeric trisimidometaphosphate {Me2Al[(μ-NCy)(μ-NSiMe3)P(μ-NCy)2P(μ-NCy)(μ-NSiMe3)]AlMe2} (5a), respectively. The reaction of SP(NHtBu)3 (2a) with 1 or 2 equiv of AlMe3 yields {Me2Al[(μ-S)(μ-NtBu)P(NHtBu)2]} (7) and {Me2Al[(μ-S)(μ-NtBu)P(μ-NHtBu)(μ-NtBu)]AlMe2} (8), respectively. Tämän tutkielman ensisijaisena tavoitteena on selvittää Uskali Mäen tieteenfilosofisen käsitteistön soveltuvuutta moderniksi rahateoriaksi eli uuschartalismiksi kutsuttua taloustieteellistä koulukuntaa koskevan kiistan analysoimiseen. Tutkielman toissijainen tavoite on saavuttaa aiempaa parempi selvyys kyseisen kiistan argumentatiivisesta rakenteesta ja kiistaa ylläpitävistä tekijöistä. Characterization of the autoantigen La (SS-B) as a dsRNA unwinding enzyme

During the analysis of the La (SS-B) autoantigen for catalytic activities an ATP-dependent double-stranded RNA unwinding activity was detected. Both native and recombinant La proteins from different species displayed this activity, which could be inhibited by monospecific anti-La antibodies. La protein was able to melt dsRNA substrates with either two 3'-overhangs or a single 3'- and a 5'-overhang. Double-stranded RNAs with two 5'-overhangs were not unwound, indicating that at least one 3'-overhang is required for unwinding. Electrochemical sensor for phosphate ions based on laser scriber reduced graphene oxide

This preliminary work shows a new and innovative way to produce laser scribed reduced graphene oxide (LSGO) electrodes using different porous substrates (ranging from paper to plastic and fabric). The obtained electrodes were also tested as electrochemical sensors towards the detection of phosphate ions in water. To obtain the electrodes, a water suspension of GO was filtered on top of substrate (such as Whatman® filter paper) and a complete sensor was obtained from its reduction using a CO2 laser. The Effect of Electrolytic Solution Composition on the Structure, Corrosion, and Wear Resistance of PEO Coatings on AZ31 Magnesium Alloy

Plasma electrolytic oxidation coatings were prepared in aluminate, phosphate, and silicate-based electrolytic solutions using a soft-sparking regime in a multi-frequency stepped process to compare the structure, corrosion, and wear characteristics of the obtained coatings on AZ31 magnesium alloy. The XRD results indicated that all coatings consist of MgO and MgF2, while specific products such as Mg2SiO4, MgSiO3, Mg2P2O7, and MgAl2O4 were also present in specimens based on the selected solution. Surface morphology of the obtained coatings was strongly affected by the electrolyte composition.
