In this paper I want to show, the Antonio Gramsci’s arrangements, Italian Marxist, are very actual analysis of political process and phenomenon, which can be very significant tip and inspiration for the political researchers. The argument of this paper is about a kind of continuity between process of establishing hegemony and notice what the political (beyond the strictly policy). Analyzing this continuity, I want to do some kind of “political science transcription” of Gramsci, which I hope will result in more detailed research. Also I want to show the Gramsci’s profile as a political theoretist.

In this paper, we explore women’s participation in esports and competitive gaming. We will analyze two different types of research material: online questionnaire responses by women explaining their reluctance to participate in esports, and online forum discussions regarding women’s participation in competitive Overwatch. We will examine the ways in which women’s participation – its conditions, limits and possibilities – are constructed in the discussions concerning women gamers, how women are negotiating their participation in their own words, and in what ways gender may affect these processes. Käsillä oleva tutkielma tarkastelee Ernesto Laclaun poliittista filosofiaa kansainvälisen politiikan näkökulmasta. Ennen kaikkea Laclaun tulkinta universalismin ja partikularismin välisestä suhteesta on työn kannalta keskeisessä osassa. Laclaun näkemyksen mukaan kaikki yhteisöt rakentuvat jollekin partikulaarien ja universaalin väliselle artikulaatiolle, joka puolestaan on seurausta kontingentista inhimillisestä toiminnasta. Työssä sovelletaan Laclaun ajattelua suojelun ja humanitarismin problematiikan yhteyteen.
