Regional passenger transport. A comparison analysis between helicopter and seaplane
2014
Heliports and seaplane bases are relatively small infrastructures able to serve medium or low volumes of regional traffic in poor accessible areas or in zones just located to the next proximity of the urban areas. The spatial extension of the airside is directly connected with the costs of the infrastructure and it is primarily determinate by the type of aircraft that uses the infrastructure and secondarily by the design expected traffic. The helicopter infrastructure is far smaller than that required for airplanes and seaplanes, since the first doesn’t suffers the lateral wind on the approach and landing direction. On the other hand, the rotorcraft suffers operative costs largely high than…
Future trends for the civil rotorcraft
2013
In response to public needs about the use of air transport to connect high congested or remote areas where airports are not present, rotorcraft (or seaplanes), represents the only available alternative. Today the helicopter industry focuses its tasks in the maximization of profit, building multirole aircrafts that can be adapted to all types of use: from the military to the civilian one, from HEMS and SAR to the Off Shore one. On the other hand the rotorcraft enterprises are small companies, often characterized by a limited budget and weak demand services. Often, analyzing rotorcraft civil transportation, companies are forced to perform on-demand services, as the operating costs of the airc…
Overparenting hurts me: how does it affect offspring psychological outcomes?
2021
This review focuses on a peculiar typology of parenting characterized by overprotection, overinvolvement, overcontrol and an excess of entanglement; academic literature refers to this parenting style with the term overparenting or helicopter parenting. An in-depth description of overparenting constitutes the first part of this review. The second part of this review reports empirical evidence regarding the effects of overparenting on offspring psychological outcomes with particular regard to internalizing and externalizing disorders, coping strategies and dysfunctional personality traits. Depression and anxiety symptoms are frequently exhibited in offspring exposed to overparenting, as well …
USING AERIAL IMAGE ANALYSIS AS A TOOL FOR TOPSOIL, SOIL AND SUBSTRATE MAPPING IN VINEYARDS(BURGUNDY, FRANCE)
2013
International audience; In Burgundy, vineyards present a high diversity of Terroirs, controlled by complex interactions between natural and human factors. The relationship between these factors leads to define wine typicity. However, a better understanding of how Terroirs have been defined is necessary for the sustainable, rational management of vineyard soils. The objectives of the study are (i) to identify Terroirs variability in vineyards of Burgundy (France) at hillslope scale and (ii) to highlight natural (soil, substratum) and anthropogenic factors (management practices) controlling Terroir diversity. To study Terroir at a fine scale, we developed a method based on a very high spatial r…

Study and Simulation of Helicopter Gearboxes Noise
2010
International audience; Main gearbox is one of the main noise sources in helicopter cabin. In order to improve the comfort of customers and reduce the health impact, acoustic and vibration mechanisms of gearboxes have to be understood and simulated during development phases. Thus, we first present the global methodology chosen to compute main gearboxes noise in helicopter cabins. Secondly, we described the way we compute mechanical excitation sources induced from gear mesh, static transmission error and meshing stiffness. Depending on the type of gear, we compute those using either analytical specially developed code or EC codes. Thirdly, we propose a modeling to compute dynamic loads on be…
