Ferulago nodosa (L.) Boiss. (Apiaceae) is a species occurring in the Balkan-Tyrrhenian area being present in Crete, Greece, Albania, and probably in Macedonia. Although the western disjointed population of Sicily has been classified as an endemic sub-species, F. nodosa subsp. geniculata (Guss.) Troia & Raimondo, its official acceptance is quite controversial. Variation in Sr uptake in the shell of the freshwater gastropod Bithynia tentaculata from Lake Arreo (northern Spain) and culture experiments

The Sr uptake features in Bithynia tentaculata aragonite shells from monthly collections in Lake Arreo (northern Spain) over a two-year period are compared with those from the same species grown in culture experiments with similar waters under controlled temperature. The shell aragonite of B. tentaculata from Lake Arreo formed in isotopic equilibrium with the lake water. A comparison of the stable oxygen isotope values (δ18O) from the shells and waters allowed the selection of suitable shells for Sr uptake studies. Το σύνθετο γεωδυναμικό καθεστώς της Ελλάδας πηγάζει από την πολύπλοκη γεωλογική της ιστορία, η οποία χαρακτηρίζεται από έντονη σεισμική δραστηριότητα και ενισχυμένη γεωθερμική βαθμίδα. Αυτή η δραστηριότητα σε συνδυασμό με το ενεργό ηφαιστειακό τόξο, ευνοεί την ύπαρξη πολλών εκπομπών αερίων, με αποτέλεσμα την κατηγοριοποίηση σε CO2-, N2- και CH4-αέρια, ανάλογα με το επικρατών είδος. Η παρούσα εργασία επικεντρώνεται στο μεθάνιο και τους ελαφρούς υδρογονάνθρακες (C2-C6) με σκοπό τον προσδιορισμό της προέλευσή τους.
