The applicability of an Energy Dispersive X-ray Diffractometer to some technical questions in the field of Cultural Heritage is presented. This diffractometer, equipped with a white source, has been utilized for the structural and elemental analysis of some items having different nature. Given its design, the instrument allows to collect data from samples as big as a book or a little more. International audience; Preserving the cultural heritage of the performing arts raises difficult and sensitive issues, as each performance is unique by nature and the juxtaposition between the performers and the audience cannot be easily recorded. In this paper, we report on an experimental research project to preserve another aspect of the performing arts—the history of their rehearsals. Il saggio affronta lo studio del maso Valentim im Viertel attraverso la realizzazione del modello digitale utilizzato come strumento per la conoscenza dell’architettura della tradizione del Sud Tirolo. La metodologia adottata si basa sull’acquisizione dei dati rielaborati attraverso modelli VR e AR per la valorizzazione del patrimonio. This study deals with development of the farmhouse Valentim im Viertel digital model used as a tool for the knowledge of the South Tyrol traditional architecture. The methodological approach shows the acquisition of data and the use of VR and AR models for the enhancement of the cultural heritage.
