2021
[EN] Silk heritage belongs to the so-called integral heritage type, which means that tangible and intangible elements can be found in one piece. Moreover, silk is a living heritage strongly connected with its community. Nowadays, silk is a living heritage in various communities and constitutes an element of creativity that can be appreciated in the current fashion trends. This paper addresses the main results of the SILKNOW project, f…
Knowledge engineering and semantic formalism of symbolic relations. From medieval network to web 3.0
2020
A search has always been at the center of human concerns, the one of conditions and means to represent, to control well, and to communicate effectively with his environment. While technological advances and electronic gadgets such as smartphones, the Web, and online social networks currently allow addressing this concern, it has not always been the case. Our works in this thesis treat medieval documents considered as a medium of communication and as a model of the social network in the Middle Ages. These documents are called medieval illuminations. They were luxurious paintings used in that time to represent the environment and ideal world for elites such as prince, duke, etc. Those paintin…
Learning Environment in Light of Positional, Institutional, and Cultural Interpretations: An Empirically-Based Conceptual Analysis
2016

The study employs a qualitative approach and is based on 14 semistructured separate interviews with professionals in the field of education. The participants in the study have been chosen from 3 different levels in the educational system (assistants, kindergarten and school teachers, and principals/county government representatives) and across different institutions (kindergartens and schools). The data reveal a clear pattern in which the…
Che cos’è una minestra? Il sistema delle minestre siciliane
2019
