In the introduction to the volume, the editors explain the overarching aim of the volume and contextualize the main themes of its chapters. Even if the notions of biopolitics and biopower have played a crucial role in philosophy, the humanities, and the social sciences over the last decades, they have been used in various and at times diverging senses, which has also produced different narratives about the history of biopolitics. [EN] In Valencia, during the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera, the water users´ associations and the Ayuntamiento de Valencia underwent through a fierce conflict. The revision of the legal concession of water diverted from the Turia River for urban uses caused a strong reaction of the agricultural users, which promoted an unprecedented social mobilization and provoked the major’s resignation. The conflict between huerta and city is an interesting indicator of the politicization of Valencian society in the first third of the twentieth century and also of the power of symbolic capital to boost social action. La correcta aplicación de un procedimiento de prevención de impactos y protección al patrimonio arqueológico, desarrollado con motivo de la implantación de una línea eléctrica de alta tensión, permitió en 2013 el hallazgo de una necrópolis junto al Cerro de las Cabezas (Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real). Hasta el momento se desconocía la localización del área funeraria de este gran oppidum. Las catorce tumbas documentadas durante esta breve intervención (catorce días de trabajo) corresponden a los enterramientos de cremaciones en urnas, con piezas de ajuar asociadas como fusayolas, fíbulas, armas y recipientes cerámicos.
