Tutkimuksessa tarkastelemme lukion historianopettajien käsityksiä tiedonalansa tekstitaidoista aineistopohjaisen esseen kirjoittamisen opettamisen ja arvioinnin yhteydessä. Lukiossa jokaisen opettajan tulee opettaa oman tiedonalansa kieltä ja tekstitaitoja, jotka kietoutuvat taustalla olevan tieteenalan tiedonmuodostuksen käytänteisiin. Tiedonalan tekstitaitojen opettaminen nojaa opettajien käsityksiin tiedonmuodostuksen käytänteistä sekä niihin liittyvästä tekstitoiminnasta.
