Selective CO 2 Sorption Using Compartmentalized Coordination Polymers with Discrete Voids**

Carbon capture and storage with porous materials is one of the most promising technologies to minimize CO2 release into the atmosphere. Here, we report a family of compartmentalized coordination polymers (CCPs) capable of capturing gas molecules in a selective manner based on two novel tetrazole-based ligands. Crystal structures have been modelled theoretically under the Density Functional Theory (DFT) revealing the presence of discrete voids of 380 A3 . Single gas adsorption isotherms of N2 , CH4 and CO2 have been measured, obtaining a loading capacity of 0.6, 1.7 and 2.2 molecules/void at 10 bar and at 298 K for the best performing material. Effects of inhomogeneities of cross-links on a microphase separation of polymer mixtures

We generalize de Gennes' theory of the microphase separation of cross-linked polymer mixtures to take into account the spatial fluctuations of the elasticity constant c, preventing the mixture from complete segregation. Within a mean-field analysis we found that the spatial fluctuations of c(r), which are assumed to obey the Poisson distribution, enlarge the size of the domains. The latter is obtained to be temperature dependent.
Revising the history of Nitchevo with text archives

This article focuses on the way nitchevo, a nineteenth-century Russian borrowing, was adopted into the English language. In order to investigate the history of the word, six digital text archives were considered. The results of the research are promising: not only do they allow one to trace antedatings for both senses, which updates the treatment of nitchevo in the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), but they also shed light on its semantic development, spelling variation, and route of transmission. Abstract In this piece, the authors question whether critical language research, in its complex collection of researcher choices, is possible beyond the discursive imaginary of critical academic scholarship. In other words, how do (allegedly) anticolonial efforts re-orient towards contribution to the imperial record? We present three vignettes, through which we grapple with the notion that researcher choice exists within the solipsism of academia. In doing so, we frame research and scholarship as a collection of choices, which we believe are better understood as a collection of fraught dilemmas. Crimea has always been at the crossroads of cultures, civilizations, dialogue of cultures. At the beginning of the 21th century, the representatives of over 175 nations belonging to different confessions lived in the Crimea. In different periods of the Crimean history alongside with Orthodox churches and Muslim mosques, churches of other religions and confessions existed. Scientists pay attention to both national structure and poly confessionalism of this region. The presented work deals with the key points of Catholicism evolution in the Crimea. Special attention is paid to some periods as well as events and people associated with them.

The abrupt temperature increase known as the “1987/1988 temperature regime shift” that occurs over Europe is questioning how winter pea will perform in the changing climate. This study assessed the winter frost damage evolution along from 1961 to 2015 in Burgundy-Franche-Comté by using: (1) daily observed and gridded regional temperature data and (2) a validated crop winter frost stress model calibrated for pea.
