Substituted 2,7-dimethyl-3-thioxo-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-[1,2,4]triazepin-5-one reacts as a dipolarophile with several N-aryl-C-ethoxycarbonylnitrilimines, in equimolar quantities, to give, in all cases, two types of products: diethyl 3-(p-aryl)-2-[N′-(p-aryl)-N′-(2′,7′-dimethyl-5′-oxo-5′,6′-dihydro-2H-[1,2,4]triazepin-3′-yl)-hydrazino]-2,3-dihydro[1,3,4]thiadiazole-2,5-dicarboxylate (3a–3c in 20–25% yield) and ethyl 4-(p-aryl)-5-imino-1,4-dihydro[1,3,4]thiadiazole carboxylate (4a–4c in 45–50% yield). Abstract The regioselectivity of the addition of the lithium trienediolates generated from hexa-2,4dienoic acids 1 and 2 or the dihydropyran-2ones 4 and 5 to unsaturated ketones 6 is studied. Equilibration conditions favour reaction of the trienediolates through their ω carbon, and the ketones according to 1,2- and 1,4-additions. β-Ionone 6a and the aryl-butenone 6b lead to the 1,2-ω-adducts 8 , which undergo a facile acid catalyzed dehydration to retmoic acids 11 . On reaction with the unsaturated ketone 6b or with the aryl ketones 21 , the trimethyldihydropyran-2one S leads to γ-adducts derived from deprotonation of the chain methyl mbstituent along with the 1,4-ω-adducts.

TamHang, located in northeastern Laos, in the Hua Pan province, is a reference site not only for its numerous archaeological and human remains, but also for its two faunal assemblages, whose composition suggests different dating in the Pleistocene. Discovered in 1934 by Jacques Fromaget, a new excavation of the site has been undertaken in 2003. During this campaign, at Tam Hang south, 575 isolated teeth of mammals were extracted from a deep layer of calcareous breccia. We present the magnetostratigraphy and stable isotope stratigraphy from an expanded (~430-m-thick) Upper Triassic marine limestone section at Pizzo Mondello, Sicily, and review published biostratigraphic information that can be used to defi ne the location of the conodont Carnian-Norian and Norian- Rhaetian boundaries in this section. Pizzo Mondello offers good potential for magnetostratigraphic correlation of marine biostratigraphic and chemostratigraphic data with the continental Newark astrochronological polarity time scale (APTS) for development of an integrated Late Triassic time scale. Endocannabinoids participate in the control of neurogenesis, neural cell death and gliosis. The pharmacological effect of the fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) inhibitor URB597, which limits the endocannabinoid degradation, was investigated in the present study. Cell proliferation (phospho-H3(+) or BrdU(+) cells) of the main adult neurogenic zones as well as apoptosis (cleaved caspase-3(+)), astroglia (GFAP(+)), and microglia (Iba1(+) cells) were analyzed in the hippocampus, hypothalamus and striatum of rats intraperitoneally treated with URB597 (0.3 mg/kg/day) at one dose/4-days resting or 5 doses (1 dose/day).
