This article analyzes the reception of the classical world in the Spanish nobiliary culture at the end of the 18th century. Our objective is materialized through the study of the Greco-Roman books present in the unpublished catalog of the library of José Álvarez de Toledo, 11th Marqués de villafranca. From the examination of the authors and the different editions conserved by the aristocrat, the work tries to examine the influence of the classical world and its actuality in the development of the most advanced nobiliary culture of eighteenth- century Spain.

En este trabajo se analiza la relación entre algunos factores de contingencia, el nivel de uso del cuadro de mando integral (CMI) y el beneficio percibido gracias a su aplicación. Mineralogical variability of Callovo-Oxfordian clays from the Paris Basin and the Subalpine Basin.

High-resolution clay mineralogical data at the Middle/Upper Jurassic boundary from the French Subalpine Basin, the Jura Mountains and the Paris Basin (ANDRA boreholes) from Callovo-Oxfordian clayey deposits allow spatial and temporal terrigenous flux evolution to be considered over a period of 6 to 7 Myr. Recorded diachronisms of major mineralogical changes and complex clays distribution at the Paris Basin scale result to combined palaeogeographic/eustatic variations and climate input. Abstract The synthesis of 4-hydroxy-3-[(1 S )-1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentyl]benzaldehyde [(−)-α-formylherbertenol 1 ], a herbertane-type sesquiterpene isolated from the leafy liverwort Herberta adunca , from β-cyclogeraniol is described. The synthesis is based on the previously described preparation of an enantiopure 1,2,2-trimethylcyclopentane synthon from which the characteristic aromatic moiety of 1 is elaborated, using a Robinson annulation and a palladium-catalysed methoxycarbonylation of an aryl triflate as key synthetic steps. The synthesis of the natural sesquiterpene (−)-α-herbertenol, also a natural sequiterpene, using the same methodology is also described.

In this work the results of experimental and computational study of the title compounds and some ancillary compounds are reported. Two bicyclic pyrazol-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives were synthesized by reaction between 6-dimethylaminomethylene-3-thioxo-[1,2,4]- triazepin-5-one 1 and several nitrilimines 2a-f to give corresponding spirocycloadducts 3a-f, which undergo a rapid rearrangement leading to the new bicyclic compounds, 4a-f and 5a-f. These obtained bicyclic products were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and finally by X-ray crystallography. Conjugate cuprate addition to the bicyclic enone stereoselectively forms the trans annulated 4a- epi -pumiliotoxin C skeleton in the presence of the carbohydrate auxiliary, and the cis annulated pumiliotoxin C skeleton in its absence.

In an effort to learn more about the general structure-activity relationships of cocaine with the aim to elucidate those structural features that might confer antagonistic properties to such analogues, we describe herein our synthetic efforts to prepare two-carbon bridge functionalized (methoxylated and hydroxylated) analogues. Our approach makes use of a modification of the classical Willstatter synthesis of cocaine: Mannich type cyclization of acetonedicarboxylic acid monomethyl ester with methylamine hydrochloride and 2-methoxysuccindialdehyde in a citrate buffer solution afforded the 6- and 7-substituted 2-carbomethoxy-3-tropinones 3a,b and 4a,b in approximate yields of 64%. An easy route to 1-germaindenes via a transmetallation zirconiumgermanium reaction

Abstract Several 1-zirconaindenes ( 4 ) have been obtained easily by heating phenylmethylzirconocene with various symmetrical (R R′ CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , n-C 3 H 7 , Si(CH 3 ) 3 and unsymmetrical (R CH 3 , R′ Si(CH 3 ) 3 ) alkynes (RCCR′). Under similar experimental conditions, the ynamine, diethylaminotrimethylsilylethyne, led to a regioselective reaction. From the X-ray structure of the zirconaindene product, the trimethylsilyl group was found close to the zirconium atom. Compounds 4 with germanium tetrachloride afford new 1-germaindenes ( 7 ) characterized by 1 H and 13 C NMR and mass spectrometry, in good yield.
