The comparison of Middle-Upper Jurassic ammonite successions in SW Sicily (Sciacca) and Iberia shows that, during the Middle Jurassic, besides some typical Mediterranean taxa, in Sicily as well as in the Betic Ranges (S Spain) ammonoid successions contain a higher share of typical Submediterranean taxa of Ammonitina, entirely comparable to those recorded in Epicontinental areas of Eastern Iberia. Central European climate is strongly influenced by North Atlantic (Westerlies) and Siberian High circulation patterns, which govern precipitation and temperature dynamics and induce heterogeneous climatic conditions, with distinct boundaries between climate zones. Coprolites in natural traps : direct evidence of bone-eating carnivorans from the Late Miocene Batallones-3 site, Madrid, Spain

We describe two carnivoran coprolites found in the pseudokarst natural carnivore trap of Batallones-3, from the Late Miocene of Spain. The larger one, comprising multiple indistinguishable fragments of broken and corroded bones, indicates that the producer of the dropping might have been highly capable of crushing the softer parts of large bones. On the other hand, the smaller one shows several relatively larger and more complete bone fragments, thus exhibiting a greater capacity to break and swallow large portions of bone. International audience; The present paper reports a complete palynological study of the Upper Turolian sediments outcropping at the Venta del Moro site (eastern Iberian Peninsula). The pollen assemblages observed mainly reflect the local and regional vegetation, which must have formed part of a wetland ecosystem within a general setting of open steppe, as indicated by the great abundance and diversity of herbaceous pollen. Identification of forgeries is of considerable interest in studies of archaeological signariums and written Iberian artifacts, elements of capital importance for the knowledge of that culture, because there are many Iberian inscribed lead plate counterfeits circulating in the market and among many museum funds. A case study of identification of forgeries of archaeological lead using voltammetry of microparticles (VMP) and scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM), aided by conventional optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM/EDX) is described. Éstas se diagnosticaron mediante el estudio de la genitalia de ejemplares masculinos capturados en Cataluña en trampas delta de base pegajosa, cebadas con feromona sexual de Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus, 1758) y de Grapholita molesta (Busck, 1916). Coprology of Panthera tigris altaica and Felis bengalensis euptilurus from the Russian Far East

Fecal samples from the Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) and the Amur cat (Felis bengalensis euptilurus) from Far Eastern Russia, were examined for parasites. A natural sedimentation methodology was used and a complete examination of all the sediment was performed. This fecal investigation allowed us to isolate and identify several developmental stages of gastrointestinal, hepatic, and respiratory parasites. Five parasites were found from P. t. altaica: 11 trematodes (Platynosomum fastosum) and 4 nematodes (Strongyloides sp., Ancylostomatidae, Toxascaris leonina, and Toxocara cati). Contagion of Uncertainty: Transmission of Risk from the Cryptocurrency Market to the Foreign Exchange Market

Earlier research documented that cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, have experienced dramatic fluctuations in both market capitalization and market share in recent years. Unsurprisingly, Bitcoin returns exhibit higher volatility than traditional G-10 currencies. Our paper extends earlier research and investigates the potential impact of news originating from the Bitcoin market. Confirming earlier studies, we find that Bitcoin exhibits dramatically higher volatility than the dollar factor. [EN] Castillejo del Bonete is a tumulus complex located on the southern edge the Iberian Plateau, occupied during Chalcolithic and Bronze Age periods, and linked to the Culture known as Motillas. Diverse archaeological objects have been recovered in association with their architectures (barrows, corridors, walls, etc.). Based on charcoal, pollen and microvertebrates a paleoecological study will be discussed. Furthermore, the analysis of different materials such as wood, shell, stone and ivory ornaments together with pottery vessels and metallic objets will also be carried out.
