Regional climate model simulations for Europe at 6 and 0.2 k BP: sensitivity to changes in anthropogenic deforestation

International audience; This study aims to evaluate the direct effects of anthropogenic deforestation on simulated climate at two contrasting periods in the Holocene, ∼ 6 and ∼ 0.2 k BP in Eu-rope. Como parte de la Actualización taxonómica y nomenclatural de la flora vascular de la Comunidad Valenciana, se proponen cuatro combinaciones nuevas y una nueva subespecie, en los géneros Centaurea, Galium, Knautia, Lepidium y Satureja. As a part of the taxonomical and nomenclatural update of the vascular flora of the Valencian Community, four new nomenclatural combinations and one new subspecies name are proposed in the genera Centaurea, Galium, Knautia, Lepidium and Satureja.

En català actual, els verbs semblar i parèixer són dos verbs quasi sinònims distribuïts territorialment de forma desigual: mentre que el verb parèixer perviu al País Valencià, a les Illes Balears i al català nord-occidental, el verb semblar, a més de conviure amb parèixer als territoris anteriors, ha esdevingut hegemònic al centre-nord del domini lingüístic. Absence of Toxoplasma gondii in 100% Iberian products from experimentally infected pigs cured following a specific traditional process.

Infection with Toxoplasma gondii in humans has usually been related to the consumption of raw, undercooked or cured meat. Our study is based on the detection of T. gondii in cured legs and shoulders made from 100% Iberian sows fed mainly with acorn and raised as outdoor livestock in Aracena (Spain), which having been elaborated following a specific curing process (time period and location). An outdoor farm with a total of 636 animals was studied, showing a seroprevalence of 10% for the parasite T. gondii. Desde los primeros estudios estratigráficos y paleontológicos, que datan de principios del siglo XX, la Fm Morella se ha caracterizado por su coloración rojiza y su contenido fósil. La mayor parte de sus depósitos se han interpretado como continentales, aunque con intercalaciones locales de materiales marinos. En esta unidad se da la paradoja de que muchos de los lugares descritos con fauna de vertebrados continentales se encuentran en depósitos interpretados como ambientes marinos poco profundos y de transición. A Neandertal dietary conundrum: Insights provided by tooth enamel Zn isotopes from Gabasa, Spain

The characterization of Neandertals’ diets has mostly relied on nitrogen isotope analyses of bone and tooth collagen. However, few nitrogen isotope data have been recovered from bones or teeth from Iberia due to poor collagen preservation at Paleolithic sites in the region. Zinc isotopes have been shown to be a reliable method for reconstructing trophic levels in the absence of organic matter preservation.
