Information and Communications Technologies, and more specifically online digital media, are revolutionizing the ways to produce and disseminate scientific knowledge. This work is based on the mediatisation of society theory, which establishes more attached importance and the presence of the mass media as mediators in various social processes, as well as on Production Studies, that analyse creative skills to draw an audience, to apply these theories to the media representation of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to analyse how the generalist media have represented male/female scientists, who have become social benchmarks during the first COVID-19 wave in Spain. Graphic readings and digital configurations: Akragas, Girgenti and Agrigento

The study deals with a graphic analysis of the city of Agrigento through the identification of the territorial, urban and architectural peculiarities that have designed its evolution. Starting from the landscape representations realized since the sixteenth century, the views from the sea by Spannocchi, the glances on the apric territory by Pancrazi, the Hellenic ruins inside the medieval Girgenti by Martorana and the Grand Tour travelers’ productions, the urban transformations of Agrigento are reconstructed starting from the points of view adopted by the draftsmen. Fray Nicolás de la Iglesia, prior de la Cartuja de Burgos, mandó decorar una capilla dedicada a la Virgen con emblemas marianos. Poco después, entre 1653-54, los insertó —añadiendo otros nuevos, hasta un total de cincuenta y uno— en un libro dedicado exclusivamente a la Inmaculada titulado: Flores de Miraflores, hieroglificos sagrados, verdades figuradas, sombras verdaderas del Mysterio de la Inmaculada Concepción de la Virgen y Madre de Dios María Señora nuestra. Modern historiography has studied the influence of messianic and millennialist ideas in the Crown of Aragon extensively and, more particularly, how they were linked to the Aragonese monarchy. To date, research in the field of art history has mainly considered royal iconography from a different point of view: through coronation, historical or dynastic images. Figura simbolica fortemente radicata nell’immaginario risorgimentale, l’esule conferisce un volto umano a valori fondativi del discorso patriottico, come lo spirito di sacrificio e il senso di appartenenza alla comunità nazionale. Entre los objetivos del estudio descuella la reconstrucción virtual y documentada de aquel carro que, quizá albergando la primera representación de Vicent Ferrer, desfiló en Valencia a finales de 1414 con ocasión de la entrada real de Fernando I. La iconografía en la era digital: hacia una heurística para el estudio del contenido de las imágenes medievales

Este artículo invita a reflexionar sobre la validez de la iconografía como método para describir los temas representados en las obras artísticas medievales. En esta ocasión, se ha puesto un mayor énfasis en investigar sus implicaciones epistemológicas y los sesgos que resultan del proceso de transformar las imágenes en palabras. El objetivo principal es tratar de que aflore la llamada 'brecha semántica', una especie de barrera que impide representar verbalmente un medio no léxico, como es el visual, de manera satisfactoria y sin mermas.
