Teaching and learning languages for academic purposes have for a long time had an important role in Finnish Higher Education. In this chapter, we analyse the curriculum for multilingual and disciplinary language and communication studies developed at the University of Jyvaskyla, which can be seen as one initiative to rethink the ways of organizing the development of language and communication skills at the university level. Este artículo pretende sacar a la luz y reflexionar sobre los sentimientos de humillación de una alumna de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte (CCAFD). Para ello, la alumna ofrece un relato autoetnográfico que representa sus experiencias de manera semificcional. Dentro del espectro autoetnográfico, se adopta una posición moderada. Desde su primera versión historiográfica conservada en la Historia silense (c. 1118-1126), el relato de la batalla de Atapuerca sufrió modificaciones, amplificaciones y refundiciones en su extensa dispersión en el tiempo y el espacio. In this article an analysis is undertaken of Spanish educational discourse during the early years of the Franco regime, from the Civil War (1936–1939) to the establishment of the Nuevo Estado or New State (1939–1943), employing Reinhart Koselleck’s principles of conceptual history. Without totally spurning the totalitarian and fascist ideology of the new regime, this educational discourse constructed an imagined community of Espana Nacional (Nationalist Spain) by means of a historical narrative that began with the uprising led by General Franco in July 1936. The Groupe Français d’Éducation Nouvelle (G.F.E.N.) was a fundamental point of reference for the New Education movement in Europe, represented in the interwar period by the International League for New Education. It was a diverse group, both in its composition and its ideological and pedagogical guidance, especially from 1936 with the arrival of Celestin Freinet and his co-workers from the Coopérative d’Enseignement laic.
