Aquest treball té per objectiu analitzar la situació de l'oligarquia rural valenciana a partir de l'expulsió dels moriscos i pretén omplir el buit historiogràfic existent sobre l'univers de la burgesia valenciana durant el segle XVII a partir de dos casos concrets. Dada la importante influencia de Marx y Engels en el análisis de la estructura social, no sorprende el notable impacto de su obra en el estudio del papel de la mujer en la familia. Sin embargo, su herencia en este ámbito sociológico ha dado lugar a interpretaciones muy polarizadas. Este artículo quiere aportar algo de luz evidenciando las contradicciones del marxismo al estudiar el papel de la mujer en la familia. Para ello se comparan las contribuciones de Marx y Engels para calibrar posibles diferencias en las posturas de dos autores que en otros ámbitos han presentado un pensamiento muy homogéneo. The influence of Opuntia ficus-indica mucilage edible coating on the quality of ‘Hayward’ kiwifruit slices

Abstract The aim of this work was to study the effect of mucilage edible coating extracted from Opuntia ficus-indica (OFI) on the quality and shelf life maintenance of packaged kiwifruit slices. OFI mucilage alone or added with TWEEN ® 20 were applied on kiwifruit fresh cut surfaces. After treatments, kiwifruit samples were stored under passive atmosphere at 5 ± 1 °C for 3, 5, 7 and 12 days. At each storage period, visual quality and flavor score, pectin content, ascorbic acid and the microbiological characteristics were measured together with CO 2 and O 2 content in the packages. Genome rearrangement distances and gene order phylogeny in gamma-Proteobacteria.

Genome rearrangements have been studied in 30 gamma-proteobacterial complete genomes by comparing the order of a reduced set of genes on the chromosome. This set included those genes fulfilling several characteristics, the main ones being that an ortholog was present in every genome and that none of them had been acquired by horizontal gene transfer. Genome rearrangement distances were estimated based on either the number of breakpoints or the minimal number of inversions separating two genomes. Abstract Background Vulvovaginal candidiasis is a common infection among women worldwide, being Candida albicans the most commonly isolated species. Therefore, controlling this opportunistic yeast is one of the key factors for reducing nosocomial infection. Aims We investigated several virulence properties of 28 vaginal strains of Candida isolated from Tunisian women suffering from vulvovaginitis. 1. The freshwater pearl mussel Margaritifera margaritifera is threatened throughout its Holarctic range, but the occurrence of this species is insufficiently mapped. For the conservation of M. margaritifera, it is important to identify populations more comprehensively. 2.
