Sakralna sztuka liturgiczna w nauczaniu Kościoła

2018

Comparing proton momentum distributions in A = 2 and 3 nuclei via 2H 3H and 3He (e,e′p) measurements

2019

We report the first measurement of the $(e,e'p)$ reaction cross-section ratios for Helium-3 ($^3$He), Tritium ($^3$H), and Deuterium ($d$). The measurement covered a missing momentum range of $40 \le p_{miss} \le 550$ MeV$/c$, at large momentum transfer ($\langle Q^2 \rangle \approx 1.9$ (GeV$/c$)$^2$) and $x_B>1$, which minimized contributions from non quasi-elastic (QE) reaction mechanisms. The data is compared with plane-wave impulse approximation (PWIA) calculations using realistic spectral functions and momentum distributions. The measured and PWIA-calculated cross-section ratios for $^3$He$/d$ and $^3$H$/d$ extend to just above the typical nucleon Fermi-momentum ($k_F \approx 250$ …

Matka Boska z Koźla – ikona czy obraz?

2021

Subleading Regge limit from a soft anomalous dimension

2018

Wilson lines capture important features of scattering amplitudes, for example soft effects relevant for infrared divergences, and the Regge limit. Beyond the leading power approximation, corrections to the eikonal picture have to be taken into account. In this paper, we study such corrections in a model of massive scattering amplitudes in N = 4 super Yang-Mills, in the planar limit, where the mass is generated through a Higgs mechanism. Using known three-loop analytic expressions for the scattering amplitude, we find that the first power suppressed term has a very simple form, equal to a single power law. We propose that its exponent is governed by the anomalous dimension of a Wilson loop w…

Ultrarelativistic quark-nucleus scattering in a light-front Hamiltonian approach

2020

We investigate the scattering of a quark on a heavy nucleus at high energies using the time-dependent basis light-front quantization (tBLFQ) formalism, which is the first application of the tBLFQ formalism in QCD. We present the real-time evolution of the quark wave function in a strong classical color field of the relativistic nucleus, described as the color glass condensate. The quark and the nucleus color field are simulated in the QCD SU(3) color space. We calculate the total and the differential cross sections, and the quark distribution in coordinate and color spaces using the tBLFQ approach. We recover the eikonal cross sections in the eikonal limit. We find that the differential cro…

The eikonal model of reactions involving exotic nuclei; Roy Glauber's legacy in today's nuclear physics

2020

In this contribution, the eikonal approximation developed by Roy Glauber to describe high-energy quantum collisions is presented. This approximation has been-and still is-extensively used to analyse reaction measurements performed to study the structure of nuclei far from stability. This presentation focuses more particularly on the application of the eikonal approximation to the study of halo nuclei in modern nuclear physics. To emphasise Roy Glauber's legacy in today's nuclear physics, recent extensions of this model are reviewed.

Detailed study of the eikonal reaction theory for the breakup of one-neutron halo nuclei

2021

Background: One-neutron removal reactions are used to study the single-particle structure of unstable nuclei, and in particular the exotic halo nuclei. The eikonal reaction theory (ERT) has been developed by Yahiro, Ogata, and Minomo [Prog. Theor. Phys. 126, 167 (2011)10.1143/PTP.126.167] to include dynamical effects, which are missing in the usual eikonal description of these reactions. Encouraging results have been obtained for total breakup cross sections in comparison to more elaborate reaction models. Purpose: We extend these comparisons to more differential breakup cross sections expressed as functions of the relative energy or parallel momentum between the core and halo neutron. Meth…

New Results on Multiphoton Free-Free Transitions

1988

Recently some of the present authors have reported on calculations concerning free-free transitions in the presence of very strong laser fields,1 in which a number of peculiar features were clearly displayed (among others, well pronounced maxima in the total cross sections and an oscillatory structure). In particular, those calculations concerned total cross sections of direct and inverse multiphoton bremsstrahlung, for several numbers of exchanged photons as functions of the field intensity. Figs. 1 and 2 show a sample of the typical results reported in Ref. 1.

Introduction to Nuclear-Reaction Theory

2019

These notes summarise the lectures I gave during the summer school "International Scientific Meeting on Nuclear Physics" at La R\'abida in Spain in June 2018. They offer an introduction to nuclear-reaction theory, starting with the basics in quantum scattering theory followed by the main models used to describe breakup reactions: the Continuum Discretised Coupled Channel method (CDCC),the Time-Dependent approach (TD) and the eikonal approximation. These models are illustrated on the study of the exotic structure of halo nuclei.

Soborowe nauczanie o sztuce

2021

Ostatecznie można odtworzyć pełną naukę soborów odnośnie do wykształcenia i formacji artystów (ikonografów), opieki duchowieństwa nad artystami i sztuką kościelną, oraz t…
