GEM-TPC-ilmaisimen testimittausten datan analyysi

GEM-TPC-ilmaisin on kaasutäytteinen hiukkasilmaisin, jolla pystytään mittaaamaan hyvin pieniä sähköisiä signaaleja ja niiden syntypaikkaa ilmaisimessa. Näitä ilmaisimia tullaan tulevaisuudessa käyttämään mm. FAIRtutkimuslaitoksen Super-FRS-nimisessä fragmenttiseparaattorissa. Tässä tutkielmassa analysoin kesällä 2016 GEM-TPC:llä GSI:ssä suoritettuja ilmaisintestimittauksia ROOT-ohjelmiston avulla. Alkuun kerron, miksi GEM-TPC-ilmaisin on lähdetty suunnittelemaan, minkälaisia mittauksia ja missä sillä on tarkoitus tehdä. Tutkielman loppupuolella analysoin testimittausten tuloksia. As such, alternative management regimes have emerged, aspiring to promote forest biodiversity and nature protection in managed forests. Sustainable environmental management often involves long-term time horizons and multiple conflicting objectives and, by nature, is affected by different sources of uncertainty. Many sources of uncertainty, such as climate change or government policies, cannot be addressed using probabilistic models, and, therefore, they can be seen to contain deep uncertainty. In this setting, the variety of possible future states is represented as a set of scenarios lacking any information about the likelihood of occurring. AbstractCOVID-19 crisis has emphasized how poorly prepared humanity is to cope with global disasters. However, this crisis also offers a unique opportunity to move towards a more sustainable and equitable future. Here, we identify the underlying environmental, social, and economic chronic causes of the COVID-19 crisis. We argue in favour of a holistic view to initiate a socio-economic transition to improve the prospects for global sustainability and human well-being.
