Joint image and motion reconstruction for PET using a B-spline motion model.

2012

We present a novel joint image and motion reconstruction method for PET. The method is based on gated data and reconstructs an image together with a motion function. The motion function can be used to transform the reconstructed image to any of the input gates. All available events (from all gates) are used in the reconstruction. The presented method uses a B-spline motion model, together with a novel motion regularization procedure that does not need a regularization parameter (which is usually extremely difficult to adjust). Several image and motion grid levels are used in order to reduce the reconstruction time. In a simulation study, the presented method is compared to a recently propos…

A fully automatic approach for multimodal PET and MR image segmentation in gamma knife treatment planning

2017

The aim of this study is to combine Biological Target Volume (BTV) segmentation and Gross Target Volume (GTV) segmentation in stereotactic neurosurgery. Our goal is to enhance Clinical Target Volume (CTV) definition, including metabolic and morphologic information, for treatment planning and patient follow-up.We propose a fully automatic approach for multimodal PET and MR image segmentation. This method is based on the Random Walker (RW) and Fuzzy C-Means clustering (FCM) algorithms. A total of 19 brain metastatic tumors, undergone stereotactic neuro-radiosurgery, were retrospectively analyzed. A framework for the evaluation of multimodal PET/MRI segmentation is presented, considering volume…

EFFICIENT MACHINE LEARNING FRAMEWORK FOR COMPUTER-AIDED DETECTION OF CEREBRAL MICROBLEEDS USING THE RADON TRANSFORM

2014

International audience; Recent developments of susceptibility weighted MR techniques have improved visualization of venous vasculature and underlying pathologies such as cerebral microbleed (CMB). CMBs are small round hypointense lesions on MRI images that are emerging as a potential biomarker for cerebrovascular disease. CMB manual rating has limited reliability, is time-consuming and is prone to errors as small CMBs can be easily missed or mistaken for venous crosssections. This paper presents a computer-aided detection technique that utilizes a novel cascade of random forest classifiers which are trained on robust Radon-based features with an unbalanced sample distribution. The training …

Evaluation of routing policies using an interval-valued TOPSIS approach for the allocation rules

2021

Abstract The success of warehouse management in a supply chain widely depends on an efficient and effective retrieve of customer orders, which is known as the picking process. This paper investigates various routing policies of pickers under two different allocation methods of items in a warehouse of fixed layout, and evaluates their performance in terms of the resulting travel distance by means of a simulation approach. The allocation strategies taken into account are the random storage and a multi-criteria approach, called Interval-Value TOPSIS (IV-T), which is expressively proposed in this paper as a new way to solve the storage allocation problem of items in a warehouse. Because of the …

Some notes on a second-order random boundary value problem

2017

We consider a two-point boundary value problem of second-order random differential equation. Using a variant of the α-ψ-contractive type mapping theorem in metric spaces, we show the existence of at least one solution.

Generation of Hardware/Software systems based on CAL dataflow description

2011

International audience; This paper presents a new development of rapid prototyping tools for system design based on data-flow specifications. In this context, the efficiency of tools for the automatic translation from the data-flow programs to C and/or HDL are assessed by means of two design cases. The paper also introduces the new concept of the automatic synthesis of interfaces. Such generic interfaces are implemented by using an embedded microprocessor, which can support a large variety of interfaces already available as native IP libraries in the case of FPGA. The two design cases described here have been developed, tested and validated on different implementation platforms. The results…

Multidimensional Model Design using Data Mining: A Rapid Prototyping Methodology

2017

[Departement_IRSTEA]Ecotechnologies [TR1_IRSTEA]MOTIVE; International audience; Designing and building a Data Warehouse (DW), and associated OLAP cubes, are long processes, during which decision-maker requirements play an important role. But decision-makers are not OLAP experts and can find it difficult to deal with the concepts behind DW and OLAP. To support DW design in this context, we propose: (i) a new rapid prototyping methodology, integrating two different DM algorithms, to define dimension hierarchies according to decision-maker knowledge; (ii) a complete UML Profile, to define a DW schema that integrates both the DM algorithms; (iii) a mapping process to transform multidimensional …

An approximate/exact objective based search technique for solving general scheduling problems

2018

Abstract In this paper, we analyze single machine scheduling problems under the following minimization objectives: the maximum completion time (makespan), the total completion time and the maximum lateness, including fundamental practical aspects, which often occur in industrial or manufacturing reality: release dates, due dates, setup times, precedence constraints, deterioration (aging) of machines, as well as maintenance activities. To solve the problems, we propose an efficient representation of a solution and a fast neighborhood search technique, which calculates an approximation of criterion values in a constant time per solution in a neighborhood. On this basis, a novel approximate/ex…

WiseEye: A Platform to Manage and Experiment on Smart Camera Networks

2016

International audience; Embedded vision is probably at the edge of phenomenal expansion. The smart cameras are embedding some processing units which are more and more powerful. Last decade, high-speed image processing can be implemented on specifically designed architectures [1] nevertheless the designing time of such systems was quite high and time to market therefore as well. Since, powerful chips (i.e System On Chip) and quick prototyping methodologies are contently emerging [2],[3],[4] and enable more complex algorithms to be implemented faster. Moreover, smart cameras which are embedding flexible and powerful multi-core processors or Graphic Processors Unit (GPU) are now available and …
